1. Lordaeron Content Question

First of all this is a question and discussion thread, not rant thread. I know that people that play on this server because x1 WOTLK. Now lets talk about how long peopke gonna stay on this server with same content forever. The most critical part that gonna hurt is PVE. Once ICC raids came out on Lordaeron people will start leaving because there's no more content after that, except Lordaeron migrated to Cata and make more loss. So how do you make this server interesting again after final content came out

  2. By having x1 rates so there's much less people who cant play their class. Also there's alot of people who came to warmane just for lordaeron and I highly doubt they will just swap realm and leave their guilds and toons to go make new toons on a high rate realm.

As for cataclysm, MoP or even Warlords, Those expansions together made Blizzard loose more then half their subscribers, so there's a reason people come to this private server for Wotlk, mainly because Wotlk is the most favoured expansion and Blizzard had their player peak at that time.

Myself and many others have played Wotlk since molten opened in 2009 and still, we dont find it "getting old"

PS: Most people play this game for gear, and getting full BiS from raids takes quite alot of time, and once that is done many people make new alts and gear them wich also takes alot of time, so once ICC is opened and fully scripted there's still goin to be a while before people feel like they experienced the whole of Wotlk.

  3. they are making it interesting by increasing difficulty on bosses , after final content is out some will leave who have finished all the content but new ppl will join to make up for that evry game content gets old eventually that's why in retail they get expansion updates but this is a pvt. server they can't do that so ppl might just go over to other realms like mop or cata

  4. I dont know how long Warmane exists, but I joined this project in 2010 and there always was enough people, now more than ever. People come and go, some may leave, some will come.
People who play PvE only might get bored after clearing Heroic endgame content dozens of time, the only suggestion is to find a nice guild where you can enjoy raiding not because of content and loot, but just because it is fun to do it with those people.
The best way in my opinion to not get bored off 1 expansion is to start PvPing because battles are never the same, there will always be better people or better arena comps that can beat you, this will only make you to try harder. Also arena seasons never get old and there will always be rewards even after 100 years.
I wish there could be some kind of PvE seasons/ladders, that would be the best thing WoW ever made, until then - PvP is the answer for bored people.

a lot of ppl dont agree with this one
Its 7+ y old content after all, more hp and dmg mean you must have only a bit better gear, you still can use same old strategy to finish the boss just the fight is a bit longer which for me making it more boring

  6. There is plenty of content, until you have done every achievement, every quest, killed every boss, raised ever reputation, etc, you can't complain there is not enough to do, that is your problem, not the game's. If you are only interested in raids and get bored of them after only a few months, again your problem, not the game's.

This clearly is most interesting. I just the other day suggested that sometime in the not so far future that Warmane would need to do a server reset. Those that wanna keep their gear and progression can transfer off and the others:

    A. Warmane removes all top tier/season gear and leaves everyone stripped of all gear in Dalaran, but adjust everyone's accounts and gives them points to spend in the shop to buy some the leveling gear to start doing heroics again from scratch.

    or

    B. Warmane resets everyone's level and drops everyone back to level one and players level up again and they'll do exactly what they did this time, but maybe let players stay in each expansion a little longer then last time.

    6 months of Vanilla

    6 months of TBC

and then Wotlk for 2 years and then after 2 years it starts all over again.

I feel either option should be just the way the server truly should stay. That way no one ever runs out of content and no one is stuck in a single patch forever unless they so choose to be, in which case they can move on over to Ragnaros and stay there til the end of time.

Sadly my thread caused a flame war with another forum member and someone else I won't name for the sake of not wanting to be banned, but I will say this OP, you're on the right track. Something will have to be done sooner or later or people will eventually start to fall off and just move over to other servers or just stop playing the game all together.

No, looks at Warlords of Draenor, there's not enough content and people start leaving, not everyone interested doing all achievements or doing all quest. PVP and PVE are why people comeback to the game again and again, it's feel rewarded. You spend countless hours grinding, or looking for Proto Lost time drake, and leveling for reaching end game content like PVP or PVE, this is why Blizzard lower leveling difficulties so people can reach end game faster because the content of the game after expansion and expansion are in end game, Blizzard now focus on end game and ignore low content, yes I know this strategy doesn't work as supposed, but you know what I mean. After Ashran Failed they leave, Archomonde defeated more leaves, now WoD are Grindfest Apexis and rare mounts. You dont want lordaeron become Grindfest right?

You can't compare this to retail where most people playing have had YEARS to do most things in game. Again I must stress that the game is built a certain way, if you don't like certain parts of it, then you will run out of things to do. Why should Warmane cater to you who only care about one part of the game, especially when the server isn't even a year old yet.

if you get done with WotLK, you are free to make characters on their Cataclysm and Pandaria realms if you want something new.

Except, Blizzard regularly provides players with new content and new expansions. Your claim on "YEARS" does not properly apply as an excuse here. Also, trying to tell someone to reroll a brand new character, give up all of their old gear, achievements, etc. in order to play a newer expansion is absurd. That is a sacrifice a retail player has never had to make, nor is it fair for you to ask people here to.

I don't agree with the other guy, for sure, but you need to come up with some better arguments.

  11. content isn't really a problem if you really love the game, i've been a member of Molten since they left neverendless and created this wonderful server (yes i was a player from neverendless) people come and go thats life, i for one stopped playing when molten decided to bring cata (cata back then was a mess -_- ) now im back and im playing on Lordearon cuz i miss the WOTLK days.

  12. Start a new toon after you've geared your main, simple as that. I usually try to have a tank, healer, different kinds of DPSers and even a dedicated PvP toon, all of these together requiring quite some time to gear up.

  13. I think the moral of the story here is sooner or later things will get stagnant and even suggesting that Warmane sit there and do nothing would imply that they're not good game managers (Developers? ) and nobody wants this. I feel a few things have to be considered so everyone can have their cake and eat it to, so let's look at the servers and what a private server is for.

A Private Server is there so people can see old content and enjoy whatever expansion the way it was "back in the day".

but let's ask ourselves this; does that mean nothing should ever change? Does that mean no new options should be given? There has to be a way for people that enjoy X Expansion and Y Patch to enjoy their cake along with avoiding allowing current content from be coming to Stagnant.

Now we can ask if Warmane would ever release their own expansion, but sadly this just isn't going to happen, so we have to move on to more rational exceptable ideas and to understand what players really want and what they might really need one has to address what each server is for. So i'll start things off for us and break things down:

    What is Lordaeron for?

    What is Ragnaros for?

    What is Neltharian for?

    and

    what is Frostwolf for?

One has to consider the maximum amount of options to truly master giving each player what they truly desire and that my friends is where profit lies.
