1. New to wotlk, playing on Lordaeron server, is solo queuing "worth it" in BG's?

Hello everyone, new playing going to be starting very soon, just have a few questions.

Is doing BG's as a healer worth it if you're only going to solo queue most of the time? I assume most of the players are in European timezones and I am -5GMT. So I figured maybe it would be hard(er) to get some sort of PvP buddies going.

Secondly, I have experience with all healers from Cata until now on retail, I was wondering is there a specific healer class that lends itself well to BG play compared to others in this era/our server patch of WoW?

Anyway, I thank anyone for any advice/suggestions they may have.

  2. Restoration Druid gets the most statistics, most healing done, most of the times, because is always spamming HoTs on people and to the whole raid, but I don't think it's very useful in specific situations, or saving only 1 player.

Holy Paladin is the one that survives the most by himself and also gets high statistics. They have bad reputation because it's supposed to be very easy to play, and also is the most played Healer and the most played class, on both factions. Also, people that have played other healers tends to get bored of Paladin very easy.

Holy Priest is very fun to play but is very squishy.

Discipline Priest is supposed to be the one that benefits the most from 3.3.5 patch, it is also the most flexible of all the Healers, and is also the one that can do the most damage, while still being able to heal the whole raid and himself. Priest is the only class that has 2 talent trees for healing.

I have played Priest for more than 5 years. I have tried other classes and other healers but I feel useless a lot of times. Priest can dispel himself and dispel the enemy, he can walk on water and also his friends, also can slow fall himself and his friends, AoE damage and healing, instant heal and DPS, DoTs and HoTs...

Level up as Holy so that you get the fast Holy Fire and Smite talent, with the increased damage on Smite and Holy Fire, get the Smite Glyph. But the first 3 points put them in Spirit Tab, from Shadow tree... When you get to level 20 or 30, change to Discipline for the survability and because it's more mana saver... When you get to level 40 change to full Shadow because of the Shadow Form... Then back to Discipline at level 70 or 80. The only thing that sucks is that you won't "bright" in BGs because you will have the least healing of all healers because Absorbs and dispels and all the **** you do doesn't count in the stats. I love it.

  3. Is Wintergrasp enabled on lorderon?

  4. All healer are viable in pvp but
Resto druide tend to heal the most in BGs.

  5. All healer are viable in pvp but
Resto druide tend to heal the most in BGs.
I think that Holy Priest is not viable for Arenas or Duels.

I think that Resto Druid gets the most healing done statistics in BGs because it is always spamming HoTs on the whole raid, randomly, and also spamming some kind of individual HoTs on the people with least health too. That's what I think about Resto Druids, I see the tree running back and forth, to get in range of the whole raid, and I see the tree animation doing the same movement, like, with its hands, like up and down, like, he's spamming the same **** on IDK who, and he gets into travel form if he gets in danger, and puts someone in Cyclone or roots, and that's it.

I have Skada statistics, for Absorbs and Healing in the same numbers, and Discipline Priest does way more Healing than the other healers. The amount of DPS that Priest's Shield absorbs, the DPS that the Divine Aegis bubble absorbs, these 2 statistics do not count for the BG's Healing Done, Discipline Priest also gives 3% less DPS after every Shield, and 10% less DPS after every critical. And Skada statistics also show me the number of Dispels that everyone did on the BG, Discipline Priest is the only Healer that spams dispel on his friends to remove DoTs and CCs, and spams dispel on his enemies to dispel HoTs or buffs, a lot, a lot of kills are possible because the Priest is dispelling the enemy, or because the Priest is dispelling the friendly DPS from CC.

Discipline Priest puts Levitate on people to start in EotS. Levitate on people in Lumber Mill and jump to Blacksmith. Levitate on people in Blacksmith and walk over water to get to Stables. Levitate on people in Blacksmith and jump to Gold Mine.

Discipline Priest sometimes takes out full health people in EotS, Arathi Basin, Alterac Valley by using Mind Control and jumping off cliffs or jumping out of a bunker.

Discipline Priest sometimes takes out a full health healer by spamming Mana Burn on him.

Most of the times I use Pain Suppression on people that is tanking and Power Infusion on high DPS casters, I check the BG statistics to try to figure out who is who...

I try to buff with Fortitude Paladins, Death Knights and Warriors, during the whole BG.

Some of the other healers are able to do only one or two utility spells like the Discipline Priest, but they tend to not do it because their healing is way more useful. Discipline Priests NEEDS to use all of its utilities or it will be a waste of a player.

Restoration Druid gets the first on Healing Done, then Holy Paladin, Restoration Shaman and Holy Priests, in no respective order. These is also counting the Horde healers, these guys tend to do like 1 million healing, or 500K or over 100K, depending on the BG and time played, all them get almost the same numbers, IDK how but there's always 1 guy that has way way way healing than all...

It's like it's divided into 3 brackets, first is the super OP guy that I don't know why the other healers can't do the same healing as him, that's the first bracket and it's only 1 guy, Restoration Shaman with 1 million healing, for example... Then you have the second bracket, which is the noob healers and the normal healers and the pro holy paladins that know how to use their shields and spam dispel and bla bla bla, let's say that they get like 500K to 800K healing in this BG... Then you have the third bracket, with the Discipline Priests and the Pro DPSers that actually know when to heal people and themselves, Balance Druids, Elemental Shamans mostly, Shadow Priests and Retribution Paladins don't tend to know how to do this, I don't know why but in general they don't. In this bracket I get first place most of the time...

Sometimes you can see a 4th bracket of healers, with Warlocks and Death Knights... I literally don't know what spells they use and don't know how Warlock and Death Knight work, I have never ever use one and bla bla bla... But they heal themselves a lot and sometimes they actually get more healing than a lot of healers in BGs.

I think that a good Discipline Priest is the most important and the most valuable Healer in a BG. I think that Discipline Priest is the Healer that saves more players from the almost dying situations, Holy Paladin may seem to do it more because Divine Shield, Hand of Protection and Lay on Hands, but these spells have long CD compared to the Discipline Priest's Pain Suppression, Shield, Penance rotation to save someone from dying, plus knowing when to use Divine Hymn, which saves the whole raid from dying. I also think that Discipline Priest is the Healer that has the most impact on the whole BG and the results of it, a lot of situations change because of something that the Discipline Priest did and nobody noticed, unless you are Holy Paladin, Holy Priest or Discipline Priest. IDK why but most of the times it's this way, I know because of what I see and because of people whispering during the BG.

The people that REKTs me in BG and that I notice them and remember their names are Discipline Priests that Mana Burn and Mind Control me. Shamans that know how to use their pushing thingy ability and insta kill me on important moments in EotS middle or Lumber Mill. Shamans that use Hex on me everytime they can. Mages that Sheep me 3 times in a row. Rogues that Sap me 3 times in a row. Druids that Cyclone me all the time they can. Warlocks that use the sexy pet to do the little music and kiss thingy spell that CCs me. Hunters that use some ability or whatever that has a very special sound, it sounds like if he was throwing bombs or cannon balls at me, for like 5 to 10 seconds... I don't know what it is but it rekts me so hard. Warlock spams Mana Drain on me all the time, no matter what. All these things have way more impact in the BG than it looks like, and I am not talking about some random player that randomly used one of this things like he doesn't even know why or on whom... I am talking about those guys that know me and play a lot of BGs and know who is important and stuff, I see them in the BG and if I don't put attention they will win the BG because they will win every little fight because they will do the stuff that rekts me...

You're not going to believe me unless you are an utility healer but it's so easy to notice when it was your fault that a BG was lost, or when it was because of you that you won the BG, not because you capped 3 WSG flags or stuff like that, I'm talking about other things...
