Hello,
I played AT about a year ago and came back here to find that they were merged here. I followed the steps on the FAQ to find that there were no further steps in the links provided. Thus I was wondering if anyone could help me find my AT account and merge it here.

the Account merge is not available anymore so your AT Characters are lost.
In case you were playing on AT Wotlk then right now on Blackrock realm ( new name of old AT Wotlk) all gear is Free, even Wrathful so you can re-create all your old characters with the best gear available, it will take 1 sec by using "pick a speck npc" (new name of "tamplate npc").

Ah, I see. Thanks for your help. I'm also assuming the money I spent there are no longer valuable for anything right?

exactly. In case you were a vip you could still use vip commands with your "merged" account but, as I said, it is too late to merge it, sorry.
The AT-Molten merge happened on February 2015, the window of time to merge accounts was like around 6 months
