1. An ArP build working for an Enh would only happen if you could actually get ArP-capped.
Well, according to RAWR 40% arp is already enough to make ARP better than AP and Haste.

The only reason why an ArP build would be beneficial on Warmane is the non-working crit cap, which means you'll also have to be above the crit cap, and both of these are not possible at the same time.
It is possible to get over the crit cap with a arp based gear. With the right gear combination its possible to have the spell hit and expertice cap, 74% crit (with 3% of it over the cap) and 62% arp.
Nevertheless its hard to say if it wouldnt be more beneficial to stack additional crit over arp to supress the glancing blow chance even more.

What really surprise me though is that RAWR tells me that the common retail BiS gear from elitistjerks does only 12384 dps while the ARP based gear that I created does 12417 dps .

In case u want to test it urself with RAWR.

  2. That's without buffs, right? I was doing 12k DPS pre-Moltdown in 5.3k GS on DBS... I dunno, something seems fishy to me.

Probably because of all the lolten bugs?
A BiS geared and completely raid buffed shami did average 12843 dps on retail.

At least according to RAWR and EnhSim..

Its with buffs, but outside icc (so about 17k with icc buff).

  5. Its with buffs, but outside icc (so about 17k with icc buff).
Ah u are right. I forgot to check the ICC buff in RAWR.
So with the ARP based gear I would pull 16142 DPS in ICC.
With the common BiS gear which focus on haste I would pull 16100 DPS in ICC.

One more thing that is worth to mention is that this simulation programs assume that u use a perfect rotation on a stationary target for several minutes.
I guess that this stationary fights come into favor for haste.
In reality on nearly every encounter u wont have a 100% uptime on the boss so haste might be less beneficial than it looks on the simulations.

Now im really curious if I should get a ARP based gear...

I also noticed that rawr suggests you to take a ton of hit gems. It is because it helped with increasing meele crit cap on retail. (reduces amount of misses -> makes place for more crits) It isn't necessary on warmane (extra crit reduces amount of glancings). Just cap your spells and get more arp gems. You can also skip a bit of expertise - 22 should be enough atm.

If you want to test it go for as much arp as you can - you might pull even more. (more arp you have more valuable stat it is)

I just got to an old EJ discusison:
Their max number is 12 881, while using CTS + STS as trinkets (link (2nd half of the page): http://forums.elitistjerks.com/forum...onward/?page=7)

    That explains it then :D

Just tested such a gear that takes the warmane bugs into account. Its possible to get 68% arp and 70% crit (4% of it over the crit cap).
When u equip http://wotlk.openwow.com/item=50656 and stack only arp gems then its possible to get even more arp. But 100% arp is only reachable when u sacrifice the t10 four set bonus which isnt worth it.

Nevertheless I dont wanna waist too much time with theorycrafting a gear that takes all the warmane bugs into account. Sooner or later this bugs gonna be fixed so im more interested in creating a retail like BiS gear.

Yeah I saw this post. It was with a incomplete test version of CTS though.
With the more accurate data HWT outperforms CTS on RAWR and also on EnhSim.

I created a gear which is quite similiar to the EJ BiS gear but has the Orc racials and JC+BS as professions. On EnhSim it outperforms the EJ gear by 300 dps.
    http://forum.warmane.com/showthread....m-elitistjerks
    It pulls 〜13140 DPS.

In comparison, my ARP based gear pulls 〜13056 DPS on EnhSim so its really close. Maybe the ARP gear would be even better when it comes to boss encounters where a lot of movement is involved because in this case haste is less beneficial than ARP.

  9. As I see it getting arp gear would be a way to kill time when you are already @bis and still want to play enha. + It might currently provide interesting performance.

About bug repairs.. those 2 bugs have been here at least 4 years I am playing here (together with higher hit cap, which was repaired last year)... They might get repaired with Loarderon core port, I am just a bit sceptical and assume its safe to stick with how it works now until test results show otherwise.

  10. Great thing is that this ARP based gear is even viable when everything works retail like.
I have this feeling that it would even outperform the EJ BiS gear in most boss encounters.
Even if it falls behind it should only be a dps difference of 〜90 dps.

  11. Herk War Token + STS HC = BIS. TaJ sucks, alot... its abit bugged for enhance, only use TaJ/TaJ HC if you need the hit rating. If you dont have or cant afford STS HC , your best choice would be Herk War Token + WFS HC.
using vote points you cant get the HC versions of trinkets. i have herk war token. should i get STS(non heroic) or WFS(non heroic)?

also sorry if this is a dumb question, but to reach crit cap, do we gem agility or just crit?

my armory is "wishiwasgood" ill be sure to leave it on enhance. i have needle encrusted scorpion right now. would i benefit more from a trinket or going from a 251 offhand to a 271? or maybe upgrade from my 245 ring to BIS(or whatever i need most)?

    thanks

  12. I have some questions about ench shammy.
    1. is BB bis for shammy?
    2. is agility + haste gems good or go full haste gems? I have 4 t10 set. or go with attack power + haste gems?
    3. how come I did less damage with berserk + mongoose?
    4. is 7.3k on dummy low for 6k gs?
    5. is expertise for warmane 20? or 26?
    6. why full haste? don't you need some attack power? or agility for crits?

  13. 1. LK heroic axes are BiS
    2. full haste is better, agility gives lower returns than haste
    3. go dual berserking
    4. 7.3k on dummy is good for 6k gs
    5. no dodges past 21 expertise on molten
    6. yes you need attack and crit but you can get them from gear and enchants. Many reasons why haste is great, main reasons are for more 4 piece t10 procs, enhance uses 2.6 (slow) weapons, and helps maximize the 3 second ICD of windfury.

  14. issues about enhancement shaman

hello guys. i just cant understand how you can say that second stat as priority is haste. i had 1200 haste on my shaman and that did not help so much
