IDK about Portugal or Romania but at least here we finish compulsory education at 16.

15 here, depending on the month you were born.
I quit sunday school couple of years ago, Best choice I've made lol

Compulsory is 10 grades.
To get your baccalaureat diploma you need 12 grades.
You start at 7 years, you finish compulsory at 16-17 (depending when you were born).
But you won't really get a proper job without a university.

I started at 6 because I'm special.
I think the education system sucks in Romania, well it's arguable, because we get stuffed with so much random trivia during early school years, say the first 8 years, that it's no wonder most kids grow up to hate math, reading, studying and generally school stuff. On the other hand we're pretty smart as a nation and all our specialists always go abroad to make the foreigners rich instead of their nation for a lousy different currency.Edited: April 10, 2016
