it is funny though, i think asking for a TBC/Vanilla server is perfectly reasonable and expected, but i can't help but laugh my *** off when i read someone posting about wanting a WoD server.
If people wanna play on a WoD server, just play on your free facebook account. Not a lot of difference.
MoP and Cata are not popular here because they lack the content wich Lordaeron has. If they both had the old content Wotlk has (and some that were added in those expansions) together with class fixes, people would be crying for another Cata/Mop server to spread the large amount of players. And now back to Vanilla / TBC, i personally don't think there is a high demand for those expansions and i doubt they would be played for more than a year or two. Also if you made them without the cash shop Warmane would have problems as it currently does with Lordaeron. And since Cata and Mop realms are incomplete players are not willing to donate there so the funds for Vanilla/TBC wouldn't exist. And by adding a cash shop people would just screm pay2win and it would not be fun for anyone playing there.
Rly? Wasnt BC the most succesful expac?
No, it was WOTLK.
For me, WOTLK has everything better than TBC: Lore, areas, pvp, pve (its tough here), content...
Im amazed how vanilla server got 10k population so there is a chance for one here too but... Im would be more interested in tbc one cuz there wasnt any nearly populated out there ever , right?
There was, a looong time ago. It peaked at 4 - 6k ppl. Wowscape was the server, if im not mistaken. The server was full of bugs but it was still fun, just because the population was amazing there. One bad thing about Wotlk is, that its a bigger world. Which means u dont see many ppl runnin around your area. Vanilla is just Kalimdor and EK. Therefore more ppl to interact with. I dont know if u visited the 10k Vanilla server but that was in my experience, a true massive multiplayer online rpg.
Well I didnt played it I tried a bit but quited.
Well my experience on Lordaeron while leveling at the begining was pretty amazing.
Ahh, times have truly changed. In the best years Private Servers have never been a popular thing over all. Some of the more off the wall countries out there have flocked to these servers, but what Nost and Warmane has done is wonderful, but it also stams from times changing. People have been telling Blizzard for years to give us Legacy Servers, but they just didn't listen. This is such shameful behavior as the rabid Blizzard fanboi will always through some dirt in your face when you're like, "oh hey I play on a private server". This kind of behavior happens on this very day and will probably continue. But the fact is, we did tell them. Time and time again we were slammed with, "The Wall of No" and laughed off the forums and even insulted by a dev at Blizzcon.
The nature of people is to seek out what we want the most. so Private Servers have naturally become more successful over the years, specially those that care to invest the time and resources to actually debug things and get everything working as intended.
Maybe Blizzard will get their heads out of their asses and start to listen, maybe the won't. Who knows? But ignoring people is only costing them more and more subs.
"You think you want that, but you don't really want that".
How the F would you know what I freaking want?
Yup, ive seen the youtube vid from the dev making fun of the dude who was asking a legit question. And all he did was being disrespectful. Maybe they'll consider for the next big thing after legion for WoW. Since alot drama went on the gaming news about Nost and the shutdown.
Just compare the sub blizz had while was on wotlk and tbc.
Also tbc players say that tbc is best while vanilla say same about their love expansion.
Wotlk>all but you can play on other ps for tbc i guess.
What are chances blizz comes after warmane next? Its a large community just as nostalrius was
Isn't Warmane based in Russia? If the server is hosted in countries that are untouchable by Blizzard, its a low chance that it can get shut down. And I think if Blizzard are capable of shutting Warmane down, they would've done it a long time ago.
Warmane will stay as long the servers are in Russia i think.
Yeah everyone has ther fav expansion. I will stay here since the community is nice and the population is huge. But i personally would love to see a big TBC server. Who knows maybe in the near future.
