Pandaria.... Well at least Rets/Holy in PvP.

Pandaria was **** for a few classes.... Rogues, DK, Priests

Pretty similar story for Rets in Warlords too.

The only expansion I would've called Rets "OP" is in Cataclysm. They are pretty strong in several regards prior to that (but not really since in PvP, tbh), but they were also easier to counter than most other specs or classes.

Well yeah, exactly. People change, there's no audience for hardcore gamers anymore on an industrial level. Lordaeron is somewhat in that category but the numbers are not what a huge AAA company is looking for.

Very profitable Hardcore games exist till this day, you just need to be willing to cater towards those people. Dota 2 and Dark souls are extremely successful, while not being easy games to get into.

TBC sure, I can see it. Vanilla already becomes questionable since it was the ultimate time for warriors. But WOTLK? Seriously? We are no where near the strongest classes in this expansion. Even if we talk 1v1 and exclude arena, we get banged by most classes, assuming they know what a shield/resilience is.

Yeah but rogues required skill in order to be great. From what I know, and mind you I haven't played Cata, they were overpowered then because of those one-shotting legendary daggers, right?

It wasn't just the daggers, the entire design of the class went to hell. You are tanky as hell while pumping insane pressure and having the most amount of cc possible.I played during the time when rogue didn't receive their damage buff yet and it was a walk in the park to push 2.3k in blues. I couldn't even motivate myself to play past the first month and just let my sub run out, the class felt brindead and needed absolutely no skill what so ever.

That's a really simplistic interpretation. The title could also refer to the white walkers and the dragons, both likely to be influential as the story climaxes.
