m2shared.cpp crashing me all the time

Particularly in dalaran and crystalsong forest, as soon as i take a few steps the client crashes.

i'm running windows 10 64bit with 16gb RAM, which is far more than enough to handle any memory requirements by wow, so how the heck do i fix this?

note: it does the same on a Windows 7 64 bit machine, but oddly enough, less frequent.

Do you have the updated wotlk client with WoD models?

You have 2 solutions, either to revert back to the stock client and use the old models.
Or download this utility http://www.techpowerup.com/forums/at...0_4-zip.34392/ and enable wow.exe to use more than 2GB of memory.

just tried large address aware, and it wouldn't change wow.exe LAA flag to true, even using advanced mode.

i also used it in admin mode.

edit: the wow folder isn't in program files, it's in a different directory, would that prevent it from being affected by LAA?

i figured it out, the whole wow folder was set to read only, i unchecked that and now LAA modifies it correctly, and so far no crashes.
    thanks for the help man
