    Paralytic poison stuns

I admit giving rogues a new stun on a completely different DR than other stuns is one of my least favorite parts of MoP pvp (competing with that dumb warlock succubus pet autocast cc that has no cooldown). But I accept that it's part of MoP and therefore should be a part of MoP on Warmane.

Having said that, it's been my impression lately that the paralytic poison stuns on Warmane seem to be "waiting" for a regular stun such as kidney shot to pass before proccing. This sets up a cheap shot, kidney shot, full duration paralytic poison stunlock which leaves something to be desired as far as fun gameplay is concerned. On retail, I recall that the stuns would properly overlap, so the paralytic stuns weren't as powerful.

Am I just getting unlucky with the timing of procs or are these paralytic stuns improperly "waiting" for regular stuns to pass? If so, I think it's something to be fixed. I'm not sure whether it's a bug or not, hence no bug report. Just trying to figure out if there's an issue here or something I just need to live with.

Yeah, it works fine. They even fixed that. It doesn't trigger when there is already a stun active. If you can set it up nice (bit of luck) you can cheap>poison stun>kidney or other way around but mostly you just get the DR para poison stun depending on the opener.

That's the whole point of my (made it on my other account) post- it's SUPPOSED to trigger whenever it procs, not wait for another stun to pass. That's how it worked on retail.

The ability is already skillless enough as it is- you want it to conveniently wait until another stun passes before proccing as well? If it's waiting for stuns to pass to proc, then that's a bug.

Incidentally, the paralytic poison stun only DRs from itself, not other stuns like cheap shot and kidney. Unfortunately, that's part of the ability as designed in MoP, so I can't argue that's a bug. Waiting for other stuns to pass is a bug, however.

You didn't read. Like I said when it procs when another stun is active it doesn't stun.

i noticed that too, it always goes like 4.5sec cheao shot-3sec kidney shot- 4 sec paralytic poison stun
thats a 11.5sec stun and no it does not proc when another stun is active, it always procs the exact time when the other stun ends
i do not know though if its supposed to work this way or not

It's not. I did a LOT of pvp in MoP and I clearly remember the paralytic stun overlapping with some other stun. Here's a thread on the retail forum asking if there's some way for rogues to avoid that and have the stuns line up. The answer was no, "rng is rng."

(Question) 2. Is there a reliable opener to line up your 8 second kidney shot with paralytic poison stun so they don't overlap?

(Answer) 2. RNG is RNG. Sometimes Paralytic will proc perfectly, other times it wont do ^-*! and fall off at 2 stacks.

Paralytic poison works fine. It doesn't 'wait' still a cheap shot or kidney shot falls of to perfect stun after. That is just pure luck. If it gets 4 stacks while another stun is active it won't do anything which is working as intended (this wasn't working before but they fixed it few months ago). And of course you get frustrated when a rogue opens on you and get's a perfect para stun in or the stun procs directly after you trinket.

Then we've sure got some lucky rogues on this server, if my recent bg experiences are any indication. Judging by the other responses above, I'm not alone in this regard.

But like I said in my OP, I'm not certain this is an actual bug, though other people agreeing with my experiences makes it seem more likely that it is.

Yeah, looks like every Rougue has tons and tons of luck, because it's always proc'ing perfectly, the only thing that has let me stay out of the infinite CC chain, is breaking it AND standing on Desecreted Ground on my DK

  11. Not completely sure about the overlapping of stuns, but several rogues who have played retail MoP have told me that Para poison procs way too often.

Yeah, I played a lot of rbgs in MoP on my resto druid and paralytic stuns were something I could stay on top of mainly by just dispelling myself when the stacks got high. On Frostwolf, though, a combat rogue gives you an 8 second kidney shot and a full duration paralytic stun immediately follows. Nothing you can do about it.
