1. Reported for ganking?

I decided to have some fun at the alliance camp in STV with my 64 rogue while waiting for a dungeon queue partially for fun, but mainly to return the favour of alliance rolling through every camp I quest through, every day. Yeah, yeah... two wrongs don't make a right. I know..... Anyways, I got a whisper after a bit from a level 80 horde saying that if I kill his (alliance) priest one more time, he'll report me. He even called me a noob /cry. So I told him to have at it and I'll see him again soon.

I'm honestly not worried about a suspension or ban. That would probably be the best thing for me, but I'm genuinely curious if the little cry baby was right. Can I be banned for ganking in STV? STV has always been infamous for ganking since vanilla, but I'm wondering if the rules are different here. Anyways, it was fun and when I returned to Grom'Gol to log off after being unsuccessful in the queue, there were some alliance 80's waiting for me to keep the cycle going.

  2. dude, you can't get banned for PvP'ing on a PvP server xD

  3. lol I know it sounds stupid to ask, but I'm new here and curious if it is run differently. I wonder if a care bear server will ever be in the works for the people who are deeply bothered by pvp?

  4. Well, I've made myself a rogue especially for ganking, atm I am gearing him up and then full world pvp/ganking, so, I feel you.

Ganking low levers is not pvp. But yea you can't get banned for it, you should not as it is a part of the game. its no exploit or anything. but pvp? hell no

it is as much pvp as it is a fight if a grown man beats up a 5 year old :)

But in ganking no one gets hurt, atleast not physicaly. and it is a part of the game so no ban for this it would be silly

you are essentially correct, however, warmane could at least make the pvp tag do something to allow low levels to tag themselves for pvp should they wish...

  8. If the ganking means corpsecamping, then it can lead to a ban, but i dont think its this case.

  9. ganking lvl 30-40 with lvl 64 isn't PvP :P you should be killed every time when you login by lvl 85 :D If it's fun for you, you will be OK with this :D

  10. If anything, people who try to report someone for ganking should get muted. The carebears in this game are too great in number.

I am OK with that and I deal with it quite often. What I don't like is when people kill quest givers and I try not to do the same.

You are basically referring to a PvE server. Maybe there should be a carebear server on Warmane, but to implement something like that on a PvP server defeats the purpose of being a PvP server.

  12. Gank.
    Gank until your eyes bleed.
Gank until they scream to the sky in frustration.
Gank until they delete and quit.

When you've ganked enough to suit your appetite...
    Gank some more.

    Edit:
What's the point in killing quest givers?
The flight master, sure. But quest givers? That's
    low even for me.

I see you are here trolling to :)

But if you are serious, could you explain what makes it so fun to kill those that does not have a chanse? Killing players that does not take any skill so whatewer. I mean kiling a lowbie that can anyone do as long they dont drool so much their keybord gives up. Fighting someone your own level takes some skill atleast. even fighting moobs your own level takes 10 times more skill than killing a lowbie

I am just curious where is the fun in that, no challange, no ingame rewards NOTHING. Is it the fact you know you ruin the fun for someone that gives you satisfaction?
Or is it that you are truely not capable of facing someone your own level?

    Just curious about it

You're assuming that gankers exclusively kill low level characters which is not the case. I enjoy a good scrap with same level characters, but part of the fun with killing lowbies in STV (or anywhere else) with my rogue is causing enough trouble to where a bunch of 80's show up and then it turns into a cat and mouse game for me. I sort of RP my characters. I don't kill lowbies on my main and usually let people go, but my Rogue is an a**hole and I want that character to be known as such. When I'm 80 and better geared, you'll see me in SW and IF more often.

That i can understand but most of the time, not always but very often the ones that go to low level areas to gank lowbies run or hide as soon someone their own level comes. a very clear indicator that they DON'T want to face an equal oponent at all. And more than once if they do get into a fight with someone their own level they just try to flee, they try to get away and do everythign in their power to not have to fight someone their level

If they do it to get some 80's to show up and get some real pvp going thats one thing, that i do understand. Even done that myself a few times.
But this is usally not the case. they are there ONLY to gank lowbies. it is this i am curious about, What kind of fun they find in it. or if its because they just can't handle fighting other max level players

Ganking to provoke some real pvp, to get some 80 to come and get a fight going that i have no problem understanding, but as i said this is usally not the case
