Well this is my first wow....so if anyone can help me how to play Frost DK....?
1. What does macros do? e.g if i make a macro / cast Howling blast / cast plague strike etc....do the spells get casted together? if not whats the point of a macro i could jsut cast spell 1, spell 2 etc...
2. How to use trinkets.....i know next to nothing about trinkets...
3. Why does death coil not heal me.? I cast lichborne and before 10 seconds cast deathcoil....yet no healing. What am i doing wrong?
4. Most important......please suggest a simple rotation like 5 buttons max....my rotation right now is chains of ice, necrotic strike, plague strike, howling blast in that order and by that time hopefully the obliterate will be all glowy (what do u call it when its glowy?) and i cast obliterate....
I dont try to be the best but i just want to at least be a challenge to anyone....right now....when fighting....im almost as good as standing still....lel
It will switch between presences.
Frost is the normal you should use do deal most damage, Blood is good for surival in pvp (don't use it in pve, because it increases your threat).
Normally you would need 2 buttons to do that, with this macro you only need one button.
2. Trinkets, well most of them has a change to give you a lot of str randomly or on use (it can be critical strike, haste etc instead of strengh,).
They give you burst damage, it's good to macro them with your Pillar of Frost.
3. You need to cast death coil on yourself.
use this macro:
#showtooltip
/cast lichborne
/cast [@player] death coil
Some people may also use pillar of frost with it, as it increases death coil's damage (and consequently its healing).
4.
Rotation.
-apply diseases
- spend runes on Obliterate
-spend generated runic power on Frost Strike, this will allow you to refresh your runes (in a way depending on your lvl 75 talent).
- Use Howling Blast on rime procs and to apply Frost Fever (or when you can't use anything else, like you are kited in pvp).
- use Soul Reaper as a finisher, in pvp it may be hard to use it properly: it works like a bomb that will detonate after 5 secs, but only if your target will be 35% hp or less, so it' easy to use it too early or too late.
necrotic strike - I am not sure if its worth using with dw, the healing absorb is bigger when you use 2h, only use it in pvp on targets that are being healed (including warriors with second wind).
I am myself not so good, so take my advice with a grain of salt.
