You should know enough about the player that won you the tournament to know he was born in Guinea-Bissau; he moved to Portugal at the age of 11, and chose to represent them after he impressed at Braga.

He was born in Guinea but had all of his education in Portugal since he grew up in a public institution. He started playing in the regional league receiving ribs as a salary. Also you're almost right; He was pre-called to the squad while he was in Académica, by the end of the season, and when he moved to Braga and signed for Jorge Mendes he was called for the national squad.

Then without even acknowledging you're wrong, you go on about a fringe national team player who only participated in the match because of the captain's injury, how his accommodation was as a youngster, his first salary package and then the laughable "pre-called" ****. Realistically, if you don't even know his POB it's safe to assume you don't know much else about him hence the obvious Google.

His first call up of any kind for Portugal was for the 2014 World Cup Qualifiers, he was an unused substitute against Luxembourg but made his debut a few days later against Azerbaijan. He was a Braga player during this, as I remember discussing the games with some Portuguese colleagues.

Next you'll be telling me how Pepe, Deco, Nani, hell even Eusébio were "born and raised in Portugal". Shall I try to relate and say Freddy Adu was born and raised in the US of A!

Technically speaking you are wrong. He was already a name in the table to be picked up for the squad while in Académica. He was indeed called to the squad when signed by Braga and when he signed with Jorge Mendes agency. Yes, he did only enter against Azerbaijan, that's true.
Also, I've never said Éder was a good striker. Him being in the bench is completely irrelevant to the point since I've never praised him. For me he was one of the weakest links of the squad and still is; But that's football - Some times surprises happen.

Also answering the Google part, you're wrong. Actually what I posted was broadcasted in Portugal multiple times by the media since he was the "hero" that scored the goal for our first European Cup. That's from where I got the information that he was already being looked by the national coach while he was still in Académica. If they're wrong? They might be. But I'm following an information provided by the media.

No, I'm not telling that Pepe, Deco and Eusébio were born in Portugal. However I don't really know why we're having this discussion either. What I really care about is that we're champions and the rest of the participants are sucking their thumbs right now.

Trust me when I say that I'm not being hostile. I highly doubt I ever was or ever will be full hostile in this forums. A defying tone doesn't necessarily mean it's a hostile one.
