When I started playing live during vanilla, I was leveling and around level 15 someone asked me if I wanted to a battleground with them while I was running around in Darnassus. My 1st toon was a druid. I joined them and had a blast. I was coming from Everquest raiding and really enjoyed being able to play with others but not having to commit 4-5 hours a night 4-5 nights a week. I could go in and play as long as I like and log off and spend time on other things as needed. It was awesome. I found that I could stop turning in the tokens and stay in the 10-19 bracket and that's when I started twinking. For the rest of vanilla and most of BC, all I did was twink at 19,29,39.
During all this time, I met many players on my retail server (Draka NA). When Wrath came out, one of the people I used to do enchants for my twinks told me I should try raiding since. He said that if I could do good at PVP, PVE would be easy. I decided to level my original druid up and join his guild. They helped gear me up and I ended up off tanking their 1st Sarth 3D kill. I continued on into Naxx and Ulduar. I ended up leaving the game for personal reasons for a couple of months and when I returned, I moved my druid to another server to raid with some other friends. I ended up being the #2 geared resto druid on my server according to the Wow Heroes website. I got the Death's Demise title with them too. I was resto all the way through ICC. I loved ICC and that is why I loved playing on Ragnaros here on Molten Warmane.
I didn't mean to type all that, It just came out. Anyhow. I was raiding on Ragnaros (now Icecrown) and finally got bored of it and came here to Lordaeron to play 19 twinks with friends.
Those charts a couple posts above this one are very telling. I didn't raid much at all after WOTLK and I haven't even really played retail in over a year.
The reason I am posting in this thread was to say that in the few months I have been here, I have seen that it's a friendly community during the EU hours but almost a ghost town when I play. It's 50/50 on mages here. Some are super rude even when offering way more than enough gold with a very polite tell. Some won't take your gold though but there are some that are like 100g or gtfo. WHAT?
Anyhow. I agree with the OP about helpfulness during leveling.
I really hope this server doesn't die out but the numbers seem to be dwindling.

This thread at the beginning was about Lordaeron community. Since i have played on both realms Icecrown/lordaeron i can tell this. Lordaeron has really hateful people, also jealousness is on top level. You will notice most of the time, if you see someone doing some quest mob and you try invite, he will decline and finish off mob. Something totally wwrong with mentality on lordaeron. To much hate even for same faction players.
wut? Whats your in game char name? me thinks ur some random trynna downvote server
had many characters before switching to icecrown, im not on any side trust me. i know bad sides and good sides of both realms. Basically here is thing, Lordaeron bad side is hateful and nerdy community, icecrown bad side is people overgeared but friendly.
Is it a coincidence that the toxic people in this forum have League of Legends pictures as profile pics? If so, IT ALL MAKES SENSE NOW.
