Interested in Roleplay, No Idea Where to Look

Hello folks, I've been a long-time fan of the game, though lately I've had a bit of a fallout with the lore and the new expansions, it has lost it's charm to me.
I had lots of fun before Pandaria hit the scene, mostly on my Roleplaying Realm on retail, and am looking to get back into it on a WotLK or Cata server.
This one definitely looks promising, given the huge population, and the reasonable activity observed here on the forum.
So here's a question for you.

I have yet to create a character, but am pretty flexible when it comes to that.
Horde, Alliance, it doesn't matter.
What I need is a stable community of folks also interested in Roleplay.
If anyone is leading or is in such a community on here, a guild or just a social circle, or just happens to know one,
I would be deeply appreciative if you'd point me towards such a community.

If not? Oh well, I tried.

There's 1 Alliance roleplay guild, the one I'm in. There might be 0 in Horde since our guildmate who has Horde main never really talked about a rising roleplay guild in Horde, and he's been keeping us up to date with roleplay activity in Horde.

We don't really have any particular character requirement, since a lot of us has different background. Granted most of the active players use the 'shady' type of class and characters (dks, rogues, warlocks)

Well, I am considering a Dwarf or Draenei Paladin.
