Hello!
I remember retail having rules in regards of certain offensive player-names. Been trying to find information about something similar here on the Warmane-forum but to no avail so far.
Basically names like "Rapelol", "Loverape" etcetera - are these allowed? If not, do I just screenshot them and send them to a GM here on the forum?

Retail has very strict char naming policy. Warmane has no real naming policy. Offensive names are not allowed but there is no information what is considered offensive and what is not.

Yes, I've played on retail and remember their stance. There you couldn't use certain words in names upon character-creation that you can here.
In any case It'd be nice to get some input from staff or any one else in regards of this matter. I don't expect the rules to be as severe on Warmane but really, names like "Rapeincoming" should be looked at...

Such names are strictly forbidden. If you notice player with such a name then please either send us a PM here on forum with his name and realm or submit ingame ticket with his name.

Hey, what about names containing queen or princess? tried some combinations, even random like "queenawtfsgyhfjn" and says it is taken, same with everything i tried.
What's the deal?

WoW client does not let you choose those names because of Blizzards character naming policy.
Minor violations include any names that:
Consist of any title prefix attached to a character's name, fantasy-based or not (e.g. Kingmike, Presidentsanchez).

Well it says it is a minor violation, and that because of it you can get a forced rename. Not that you cannot create them at all, the client restraining you from doing it.

WoW client has a file with common names that would break those rules. It does not let you use those names.

Juuuust out of curiosity, has anyone tried editing it?.. xd anyway gm you should ban ~ 10% of bg guild players this way.. though not sure for other nationalities, but there are SOME ones showing here and there... :( if at least some of them were creative, but still..
