I cant believe people actually say its unfair when its handed out for free. You do not do anything special to get these points and items and yet you complain that someone else gets more for free.. Come on.
It's not just about the point stuffs, it apply to coin shop as well. The argue here is that some spec can get their weapon using certain price yet some spec will need to spend double the price to get both equipment for main hand and off hand
2 items > 1 item.
It really isn't a hard concept, points or coins.
Do you get a shield along every time a sword drops in game?
Do you get half a two-handed sword each drop and have to farm for it twice to make a whole one?
I kinda get his point if it's pvp related, at least for coin part - there both - onehand and offfhand - are cheaper, so....
Which isn't his point, as is made clear by the third line of his post.
I actually agree with this. As a casual pvp player that plans on purchasing most of my end game weps/trinkets from the store rather then grind pve content i dislike, the prices should be somewhat competitive. I'm not talking competitive in game or anything, it makes absolutely no sense to offer BiS 2 hander's at the same price as a BiS 1 hander that requires offhand of similar quality.
Pretty much it goes like this, roll anything that has a viable 2handed spec and legitimately pay half as much to get twice the effect. Perhaps just consider a slight price decrease for 1handers. Just my 2c's.
Items in the vote/coin shop dont drop, u buy them for a fixed price. If the coin/vote price was based on drop then also the drop chance of the specific item would need to be taken into account.
When u buy at a ingame vendor a one hand weapon for honor its cheaper than a two hand weapon of the same ilvl.
The vendor price of items is always based on their benefit. For example, a trinket cost more than a ring because it gives more stats.
It would make only sense that the coin/vote shop prices were also based on the benefit of the item.

And the frequency at which that particular boss was killed. So, time to raise the price of the Lich King and Halion drops, yea?
That only applies to pvp, though. That does not apply to pve.
Yes, imo items from LK and Halion HC should be more expensive while other items should be cheaper.
Yes but it would make sense that the price of all vote/ coin items was based on the benefit.
Look how many ppl donate now a days for trinket or weapon compared to how many donate for bracers.
Its not worth to buy low benefit items when u can purchase high benefit items for the same price.
Imo 2hand weapons and trinkets should cost something between 30 coins while bracers, offhand and rings should cost around 15 coins.
That wouldn't reduce the over all price but makes high benefit items more expensive while low benefit items are cheaper.
Where did I say anything about drop chance? I'm simply talking about amount of items. No, items in the Marketplace "don't drop," but they are still acquired as individual items, just like you would get them if you were to farm in-game, no matter their drop chance. Even in-game vendors don't sell "pairs," if you really can't grasp that simple concept.
When you add up to that the fact, as the title says, this thread is about complaining that it's "unfair" that, simply put, getting two items is costlier than getting a single one with free points, it just gets even more outrageous.
I have to disagree with you. Entirely. Items do not drop based on a budget. Like Obnoxious has explained already. Trying to treat all items like a pvp vendor would is silly. It is also silly to try and gauge the price of an item by how "difficult" it is to get, because while it may be a difficult item to get for someone who is new to the server and wants to gear up their character so they can get into a guild or whatnot, it may be a very easy item to obtain for someone else who may be in a hardcore raiding guild.
To us, an item is an item. Regardless of how strong you think it may or may not be. And that is all there is to it.
