I want to know if I can buy something silly grey item on the AH at booty bay for a large amount of gold to basically transfer it from Horde to Alliance, is this allowed? or could I suffer some sort of repercussions from it?

it is allowed but if these 2 characters are on the same account you should not be able to see that auction, so you need a friend or a second account
