    This right here.

Adailnruto tell me all about you 30FPS at 1080P on your Console.....

I'll happily just sit here playing games on 100+ on a PC that would now cost about 600 euros.... Now tell me all about how much money you spent on a PS4 + TV to play with limited FPS.

I love the cringe **** console peasants post.
You realise consoles are a ton more then gaming equipment, right? PS4 used to be the cheapest blueray player for quite some time and it's still quite good as an entertainment system. There's a reason why consoles have developed into multipurpose entertainment equipment, instead of being purely used for games like back in the old days. What companies like Ubisoft turned consoles into isn't really sony or microsofts fault. They hold back the PC development to actually net some sales on their consoles ports, which otherwise no one would consider if it isn't atleast remotely equal. Bottom line is, consoles are amazing for kids and teenager, hence why they will always have a place to exist. I'd gladly spend 400(isnt it even cheaper now?) on a console if i can watch movies on my TV in the evening and my kids can use it for gaming during the day. If you want to entrust a PC to a child, that's up to you, but I rather have a console were a broken controller is MUCH easier to replace then an entire PC.

Like I get it we are 20+ and our needs shifted when it comes to gaming. But there's always younger generations, that's something to be kept in mind. I mean let's be honest here for a moment, who started gaming straight up with a PC and not a ps1, gameboy, SNES, sega or some other console?

What on earth is the German economy like if a PS4 is the cheapest Blu Ray player? I can pick one up for like 80 euro.

Why the need to spend so much on that when you can spend a few hours of your life learning how to set up a Raspberry Pi to create a media device (with internet connectivity) to stream/download movies onto your TV?

IDK I've had a PC since I was 7, I didn't own a console till I was 13 even then it was my dad's Xbox that I used to play Halo on. Yes I would trust my child with one and I'd prefer they had one over an overpriced piece of **** console. At least the PC there is so much control over what they can and can't do regarding parental controls and security features.

End of the day, there is no actual reason aside from platform exclusive games where there is a need to spend so much money on a console.

  5. He meant ps3 for the cheapest blu ray player, not a ps4.

Also i doubt most people have the knowledge to hook up a raspberry pi and set it up.

There's more control on consoles about that **** than on PC. If your kid asks on reddit how to break the parental controls of a console, they will get told it's not possible, but there's many ways to do it on PC.

  6. Wait... Getting drunk with a simple cider? Oh men...
I never got/will get completely hammered, I meant a bit above tipsy.

And that simple cider is only 1% below regular beer in alcohol, but tastes 100 times better.

  7. What on earth is the German economy like if a PS4 is the cheapest Blu Ray player? I can pick one up for like 80 euro.
I meant PS3, that's my bad. When the PS3 was launched it was the cheapest blueray player for I believe 2 years (or maybe even 3).

You are missing the point of it being multiple purpose device entirely. Do I really have to go into detail on it?

I had a gameboy when I was 5, followed by an NES, followed by an SNES and sega, N64, playstation 1, XBOX 1, PC, playstation 2, etc. But based on this comment alone I can tell you do not carry a lot of information regarding children what so ever. If you wanna dick suck the PC without any actual reasoning, thats fine go right ahead. But don't pull arguments outta your *** on it. Parental control is huge on console, games, internet and even movie purchase/viewing is limited if you wish. As someone who wrote a paper on electronic entertainment media for his child development class, I can ensure you that if you are looking for straight up children entertainment, a console is your best bet. I didn't look deeply into the ****box, but Playstation has a few cool things to offer (here comes into play if you intend to use it also and the age of the child), but the Wii takes the cake by a long shot and this is comming from someone who hates that console. If educational games are what you are aiming for then obviously a PC is your best bet, as it offeres the largest market for those kind of games. But that's something I rather do personally, since I can easily see where my child needs more developement and assistance, compared to a programm. But just to add in, a PS4 can not catch a virus, you can add a mouse and keyboard to it any time you'd like if you want to train your child to handle those devices, can be put in his room if it's a gift, it doesnt use up a lot of space, console games have A LOT less issues compatibility wise and they may look worse 95% of the time but they run.
End of the day, there is no actual reason aside from platform exclusive games where there is a need to spend so much money on a console.
Actually the end of the day is that you are wrong on multiple levels. You have no idea what children are capable of nor what is best for them. You see it purely from the PoV of a 2x year old who has simply no need for any of the things offered by a console. Which is perfectly fine and there's nothing wrong with not needing a console, but don't be delusional towards why other people could have a use for it. And your "so much money" argument is a joke, considering a PS4 + 1 game is 280 squid. Your daughter/son won't care that the game looks worse or runs on 30 FPS and it offers by far the best bang for the buck, since buying something like this last you 3-4 years without having to purchase ANY upgrades. But this is another topic of "do you let your kid work for his toys or just shove it up his ***", which every parent gotta figure out for themselfs and I wouldn't judge either direction.

  8. >manages to log in to warmane and type perfect suicidal post while "drunk as ****"
I don't even remember when I wrote that comment but I guess it's not REALLY that hard to type stuff on the phone. And I ain't suicidal yo, never really was. I value life, sure it sucks sometimes but I don't want it to end. Life is kinda awesome, you can experience a lot of things every day. Today it's been a particularly awesome day for me.

  9. As someone who doesnt drink, I did have a bottle of Kopparberg cider the other day and i did make me tipsy...

Some of us just aint into alcohol. /shrugs
If you're not into alcohol then what's the need of popping in a random forum and state that you got drunk/tipsy with a cider? Are people trying to make a point of how rebel they are by drinking a cider?

And that simple cider is only 1% below regular beer in alcohol, but tastes 100 times better.
Alright, you lost me there. You just said beer isn't superior to a cider.

I'm a proud owner of a PS4 because of some exclusives that are about to come out. Sadly enough, since exclusives still exist (and always will) I have to succumb to the reality.

And because of the PC masterrace, nowadays console players have to patch their games to be able to play them. Its not the consoles that are ****ty,it's the developers who can't make decent games but charge you for a lot,not including the other "gift",dlc-s.All that the masterrace can whip out is their graphics and how good they can play their fps/rts with mouse and keyboard.Concentrate more on gameplay than graphics.WoW is still the most played mmo, despite the old engine for a reason.
Edit:I'd add that i equally enjoy playing on both consoles and on my pc,it just ticks me off everytime someone blames the consoles for bad games,or bad conversations to pc.

10/10 reading stuff that isn't written while not reading what is, would facepalm again.
