I am soo glad I just got my 5 Trauma's for my Resto druids on Icecrown like yesterday. One time lady luck actually helped me lol. Although that was really nice while it lasted (for me I had came back just in time and acquired enough achievement to start voting and got just enough to purchase the 1 item for my five toons), I do understand the decision to make it more on par with the other realms.
Now I do have to agree though for some people, if they had just been a day or so away, or had the points but had not spent them yet, a forewarning would have been nice. But hey, guess what. The staff makes these decisions for a reason. Don't hate on 'em

The time of the announcement is a valid point, therefore we will revert the change and allow for 72 hours for everyone to spend their points accordingly. Afterwards, the change will be applied yet again and final.

so what is the use of Voting now? we need 1000 achiv points inorder to vote and we can get that when we are lvl 80 already. and starting to farm gears. gears in game are much more useful than this gears on VP now. you might have just announce it because we are a community here without ur players ur game is nothing and you did not even tell us? we are ur life here. not to disrespect but you disrespected the players first for not announcing something as important as this. removing this items on vote points means that players will not care about achivments anymore because they will get nothing form it. other dungeons in game will be useless again and no one will raid them.

It's not "voting" though. The system is intended to reward players who have been around for a longer time to help gear their alts and new characters, or to help players who have been having trouble gearing up. Or even just that guy who wants some obscure trinket that's hard to get in Ulduar. There's plenty of 'use' for it, as it's free stuff. There's much more use for points than just gear, also. Plenty of vanity items and website services they can be used for as well.

i hope so that it will less be useful. because if not other raids in game will be useless. they are being raided now because of achivment points but if people will realize that voting is useless then bye2x to this dungeons

They are normally very punishing as they spend very little time / ticket as there are a lot of tickets to read, I assume. But best of luck.
