1. Wotlk Rogue gears in shop.

On Icecrown server u can buy the gears from the store with coins. Was wondering for a rogue what gears are he best to get?I am a experienced rogue and mainly maining muti/prep build and sometimes shadowdance but i like the mutilate build better.Even in 1 vs 1 combat is nice too(I know u dont get prep) but KS/Adrenaline rush is such a nice skill and buff.

With this i'm going to stack armor pen.Is their a cap on armor pen?So for gear it is Wrathful vs Sanctified? The sanc gear set bonus is terrible.U loose the 10 energy/Attack power/resi and gain the trade buff giving energy which i hardly use and the finishers restoring energy is kinda meh.I would rather take the 10 energy than this lol.

However sanc gives armor pen where as wrath gives resi?Just thinking if Wrath gear set is better than sanc?Ty

  2. Pretty sure the T10 four set bonus has a chance of adding combo points to your target from finishers - not restoring energy - which makes it actually good for bursting. It depends on your playstyle, but if you're BGing alot imho the T10 HC makes you more efficient at your role. You get to choose your own fights, you burst to kill, run away to stealth and repeat.

  3. Trinkets , Daggers off pieces, then worry about wrath / t10
    Armor penn cap is 1400
The 4set t10 bonus has **** proc rate worthless for pvp
Trix you should be using alot 15% increased dmg to the target u used it on, aka a fellow rogue. Needless to say Rogues giving each other tricks of the trade constantly = gg

  4. The 4set t10 bonus has **** proc rate worthless for pvp
its bugged atm and procs too much
u can basicly spam eviscerate sometimes 4-5 times in a row

  5. Which makes the BGing T10HC gearset look like:

    Spoiler: Show

Sanctified Shadowblade Helmet (+50 Attack Power and +20 Critical Strike Rating)
    Sindragosa's Cruel Claw
Sanctified Shadowblade Pauldrons (+40 Attack Power and +15 Critical Strike Rating)
Sylvanas' Cunning / Vereesa's Dexterity (Increased Stealth and +10 Agility
Sanctified Shadowblade Breastplate (+10 All Stats)
Toskk's Maximized Wristguards (+50 Attack Power)
Aldriana's Gloves of Secrecy / Wrathful Gladiator's Leather Gloves (+44 Attack Power)
Astrylian's Sutured Cinch (+Eternal Belt Buckle)
    Sanctified Shadowblade Legplates {+75 Attack Power and +22 Critical Strike Rating}
    Frostbitten Fur Boots (+Tuskkar's Vitality)
    Ashen Band of Endless Vengeance
    Frostbrood Sapphire Ring
    Death's Verdict / Death's Choice / Deathbringer's Will
    Sharpened Twilight Scale

Heaven's Fall, Kryss of a Thousand Lies (+Berserking)
Scourgebane Waraxe / Lungbreaker (+Titanium Weapon Chain)
    Gluth's Fetching Knife

You can either gem full AP, or a mix of ArP (You'll hit the cap) and AP gems.

Wrathful version? Just wear 5/5 Wrathful with the rest of the pieces the same, or you go 4/5 Wrathful and keep the T10HC helm or chest.

    EDIT:

    Qns: helm vs chest?
Ans: Both provide the same amount of ArP (106) stat that we're looking for. However, swapping out wrathful chest loses you 114 resilience, while losing the helm only costs you 98 resilience. If you don't mind the resilience loss/prefer +16 Attack Power and +8 Critical Strike Rating, use the T10HC chest.

    EDIT EDIT:

Missed out one crucial point. If you use 4/5 or 5/5 wrathful WITHOUT the T10HC shoulders, you'll need to swap a +Hit Rating item in, which should be Signet of Twilight (Heroic).

It's not bugged. It's 13% which is RNG at it's best. Did 500 finishers and got 72 procs.

why do you use sindragosas cruel claw instead of rimetooth pedant? Why haste over crit?

  8. why do you use sindragosas cruel claw instead of rimetooth pedant? Why haste over crit?
u lose important stats in cost of crit you do not when you are bis - already crit capped for ambush and ~backstab
agility loss reduces pedant's gained critt

  9. Itsyouitsme explains it nicely, thank you!

Of course, if you don't plan to hit the ArP cap (Lets see, 5/5 wrathful pieces, netting you lesser Critical Strike Rating than with 4/5 T10HC and will leave you at around ~80% ArP when gemming for it), then you could use Rimetooth Pendant - although I still have to check this out it might still be Ambush crit-capped.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Edit:

5/5 Wrathful with Sindragosa's neck, swapping in Signet of Twilight (Heroic) for Frostbrood Sapphire Ring (Heroic) for the lost +Hit Rating, and the rest of the off-pieces the same as recommended above - trinkets being DBW (Heroic) and STS (Heroic), gemming full ArP with JC+BS you get:

    Attack Power: 5456
    Hit Rating: 175 (5.34%)
    Crit Chance: 53.34%
    ArP: 1188 (84.88% Rating)

(If you go 4/5 Wrathful + T10HC helm or chest, you end up with 1294 ArP or 92.46% rating)

Additional stat info aside, you can see the Crit Chance is already capped (+2%-5% crit usually from Malice, and Improved Ambush +50% crit, and so far this is without the usual buffs you get from BGing. +5% crit from ferals? +Blessing of Kings? +Horn of Winter? Etc, etc).

Using Rimetooth Pendant, you lose 7 Attack Power, 12 Agility, 23 Stamina, 60 Haste and 8 ArP - and gain 52 Critical Strike Rating that you do not need.

    Hope this helps!

  10. NOT A SINGLE GLAD/SKILLED ROG in this expansion socketed arp, ATTACK POWER all the way. clear

  11. NOT A SINGLE GLAD/SKILLED ROG in this expansion socketed arp, ATTACK POWER all the way. clear
While I'm sure you're right that most if not all Gladiator titled rogues gem for Attack Power, you have to consider they itemize for playing in a 2v2 or 3v3 environment. My suggestions are for BGing, where we have the freedom to choose our enemies, burst to kill them asap, then reset and repeat. Besides, which serious rogue looking to reach high arena rating would run with 0 resilience? Possible of course, but too risky.

With that objective in mind, I recommended the fully damage orientated set which aims for Armor Penetration, especially when you have to consider the many Warriors/Deathknights/Paladins there are in BGs.

One of the reasons why AP would be pefered is when using more PvP pieces, you lose out on ArP stats available on PvE ones - and thus they feel it's better in the end to just gem for Attack Power. Some skilled rogues prefer either, and I'm sure when it comes to skilled plays - they pull it off regardless of their AP or ARP gemming - they get Gladiator not because of that damage output difference but their player skill and teamwork.
