I got more than 30 coins in gifts divided in my accounts . If thats not considered a gift I dont know what is . Its way more than last years . Proterean you got a point there but you should also know that 1 random guy(or mby thousands) *****ing about gifts doesnt represent the whole community and us left who respect whats given to us . I hope you dont get discouraged by such behaviours and continue further your gift/event/community efforts!

Yep, we know. Those that are grateful for the gifts is really who the gifts were aimed at. :) Those who want to rage on the forum about it are getting an additional gift, if you know what I mean. (Note: rage, not the same as being disappointed.)

I think the best gift for everyone would have been to return the point shop as it was before + mounts. I don't know what others think about that but for me personally that was going to be the best gift ever.

Allow me to disagree. The way it was before was people getting Bis (n) items through clicking in one button a day. I'm aware it's not fast gearing, but the way it is now, there will be more players putting some effort in-game (this if that's you are talking about). So as for gearing, I really prefer as is personally. As for mounts with vp, it would be cool, yeah, but I'm fine either way.

We hosted more than 40 events so far with exclusive rewards that are not even offered on the shop or anywhere else and had more than 5,000 different people participate. We gave out multiple rewards, some being worth in excess of 100 coins in those events.

The algorithm for giving out gifts is based on last year's one and it's actually pretty similar to 2014 just with the addition of random items.

We are still the only private server to do such events and the only private server to do any sort of giveaway with premium currency. But every year, we get discouraged, every year we lose the will to do these things. So much that last year we made a thread in which we announced stopping of any holiday events or gifts of any sort for good but we just never posted it. We love our community, we are a part of it, but getting constantly ridiculed for being generous and giving away gifts is something we are frankly getting tired of, even when we made it way more generous this year than last year.

What do people "Miss about Molten" in comparison to Warmane?

1) They miss the social interaction between GMs and themselves in game. That is adorable if I may say so in the least. Not an actual argument, though. GMs are not your Parents, they are not obligated to play with you, they get paid to monitor you. Also, that was nonexistent in the time I played and I don't care. (Joined in 2010) - If you're talking about prior to 2010, then I can't see the population being that great, and the GMs having the spare time to log in game and goof around. What everyone is forgetting is the part where MOLTEN WOW HAD LESS PLAYERS ALTOGETHER THAN HALF OF ICE CROWN WARMANE. <- On that note, wouldn't it. make. sense. that. the GMs are busy?

2) They miss the gifts Molten gave us, compared to the gifts Warmane gives us. Again, this isn't an actual argument. Everyone is being a little kid about this, simple as that. Whine because they can. Watch me kill this argument.

2a. Molten had a low population of players. The amount of players that would receive 150+ coins at Christmas was a small percentage of that, even. Hardly any of those players play anymore.

2b. When a game just starts out, it always has certain features that are removed a year or two at best, down the road. Be it currency or the like. A lot of games do this.

3) They want the old Vote Shop back (This is my personal favorite argument to see)

The original Vote Shop was corrupt.

You could buy mog sets for 2-5 vote points each, and sell them for easily 5k-10k gold
You could sell the Exodar Life Staff for 40k gold, I personally sold it for 75k gold one (cost around 60 vote points I believe)
You could buy Pumpkin Bags for 1 vp each which basically made all other bags but Black Holes worthless

This guy has everything right other than one thing. GMs still talk to people, they even make special channels and invite everyone into the channel and talk for hours. If anyone played Frostwolf for more than a month you would see GMs talk there in global channel about announcements and random things even. GMs also visit people's streams if they're showcased on the website, any streamer in the community can vouch for that.

I feel like people who are complaining are not even playing on Warmane at all.

Glad you think that the 1k population that Cata currently has is more than the 11k it used to have. Wrath also had about 11 to 12k, it was just split into 3 servers. I won't talk about working content. But Pumpkin Bags were only 16 slot bags...even normal Frostweave Bags are better than that, and super easy to get. I can't imagine anybody paying that much for a random lowbie staff. I can honestly say that I never managed to make a single gold from vote shop, I could easily make more than 200k per day back then just by mindlessly farming herbs. I don't want boes back, or bags...I literally just want mounts and maybe even pets, Idc if they only add the bop ones. I want cute things, not gold.
