As stated several times (search it in the forum) it is because several /whos requests at the same time to the server has a huge impact on the server's performance. This allows less lag and more player capacity, as examples.
It also makes running a census more difficult. Lol. On a serious note, I get putting a delay. Most servers have some sort of delay. But it needs to be adjusted to 30 seconds or one minute tops. Most servers do not even have it set to that long. Just enough to prevent you from spamming it. As it is right now, you can't /who people for groups or people you see asking for things in chat because it locks you out for so long.
the more people play in server, the longer cd will be. any other server you speak of has what? 3k ppl online? pls dont compare things to 15k populated server.
most of you seem to think 3-5k = 15k...
First of all learn to read, he is asking on medivh which is most 4-5k pop and second yes i am playing on server with 5-8k pop and "who" works just fine.
