1. I would play on it in a heartbeat and delete all my other toons on pvp servers. I understand other players enjoy the excitement and risk of world pvp but I have never been one of those people. I don't enjoy being gank/camped by bored max level players and as a max level player I have plenty of other things I'd rather do than gank/camp low level people. Again, other people like that and play pvp all you want. I don't like that there is no pve option.

  2. I would... not. Legacy leveling is not the same without the PvP in stranglethorn.
And that's exactly why I skip STV. I don't particularly care for low level pvp, it's kind of a waste overall.

  3. i would probably try it out. although not having to worry about getting killed and not being able to kill alliance competing for quest mobs would take some fun out of it.

I would def play it, I've always been a more PVE story driven WoW player.

Maybe in some alternate reality Warmane's decisions parallel to this world's Warmane staff......

In short, probably in your dreams. Everyone here is pro-pvp so a pve inly realm is unlikely, especially when it comes to costs, resources and the like.

I think a lot of people would play a PVE realm, the majority of people who play are not doing PVP nor taking part in any world PVP, and regularly we see threads from people frustrated about world PVP.. I'm sure there would be a healthy playerbase of people who would play on PVE realms. I'm on the fence, but so far my gameplay experience has included zero reason I need to be on a PVP realm and for the most part it has only inconvenienced me, AKA being ganked by teams of opposing faction while I'm trying to do my own thing.

Would I play on one personally? I dont think I would put in the effort to level again, but I think there is a demand for it quite clearly visible in the way people play.

    Definitely.

I started playing WoW on a PvP server, and ended up switching to an (RP-less) RP server at the end of Wrath and "breath of fresh air" doesn't even begin to describe it. I don't mind PvP in PvP areas and used to practically live in Wintergrasp, but when I'm leveling or just going about my business I just don't like to be bothered. Plus I feel like there's a difference in the general playerbase personality between PvP servers and non-PvP.

But yeah I also agree that releasing a PvE realm may not be a great idea because it'd split population too much to be worth it lol, so it's essentially just a pipe dream. I feel like a lot of PServer players tend to be more PvP focused too? But I could be wrong on that- just the impression I've gotten over the years.

All the servers might as well be PvE. PvP is a joke, too many ignored bugs and PvP related objects are left in a bugged/unworking state.

  9. Would consider coming back to Warmane if they opened a PVE Wrath server. To many ignorant kids running around at lvl 80 killing and camping level 20s -60s, which made PVP no fun for me.

  10. People talk about pvp in STV as if you ever have real pvp there...90% of the time is lvl 70(80) ganking lowbies.
This players are straight up bullying others, ppl that are most likely borderlines sociopath that have fun in making other players miserable, with the sense that others cant fight back and are powerless. The other day a druid in Medivh spent more than 2 hours ganking lowbies in hillsbrad...that person behind the keyboard has to be disturbed in some way.
Would love to see Warmane make a change where a 10 lvl minimum difference gap would be mandatory so you could attack a player of the opposite faction...but that´s me dreaming, the blizzlike excuse...

As for it´s fun...bla bla. Fun it´s when both part are having fun, other than that...it´s rape.

See a lot of ppl saying everyone here is pro-pvp... quoting Hitler( i am not a nazy) "If you tell a big enough lie and tell it frequently enough, it will be believed."

I would play in PVE server...i rather choose when to pvp.

  11. I would. Mainly because PVE servers are for ******s and trolls that want to get high level characters and make life hell for people who are just trying to play the game and have fun. I have no interest in WoW pvp because it's boring to me. I play WoW for the PVE aspect and if I wanted pvp i'd go play a game like dota or smite. PVP servers are for cowards who either want to one shot you with a max level character or mess with you when you're occupied with questing. You can try to argue that's not the case but it really is. Hell if Blizzard did a legacy server for Wotlk i'd sign back up in a heartbeat and dump this server. I like Warmane so far and it's really well programmed compared to other wotlk servers. But the PVP aspect is what keeps me from putting more time on this server than I probably would if it was PVE.

  12. I would... not. Legacy leveling is not the same without the PvP in stranglethorn.
I can see your point but when the vast majority of "world PvP" is ganking below 40s in STV or ganking below 60s in HFP, it's not PvP anymore, it's just glorified griefing. At max level, world PvP is fun because it's at least somewhat fair.

  13. it's not PvP anymore, it's just glorified griefing.
inb4 someone comes "lol i love lowbie tears they just make me gank more"

But yeah, not the vast majority but let's say 1/3 of outdoor PvP is exactly that. The other 2/3 is actual same-level skirmishes the way it's supposed to be. And due to the reason that there are so ****ing many players on Outland and that there are also a lot of griefers, levelers actually tend to not attack each other because for once they are actually able to play the game and quest in peace.

These are not words that I'm pulling out of my ***. I have two 70s and currently leveling a 3rd one. More often than not enemy players and I simply quested alongside, instead of attacking each other. I mean, there are always people around - if you attack someone, you're guaranteed to get killed by the others. And this goes for both factions. Instead, it's better and more sensible to just kill mobs and quest than sparking a conflict that will prevent you from questing in that zone for the next 1-2 hours...

  14. I would... not. Legacy leveling is not the same without the PvP in stranglethorn.
No offense but have you tried to level up on Icecrown? On fresh acc?

My friend from an other server ask me to make acc to play together. So I made a horde one and started to leveling, everything was fine till I hit level 30 and the ganks started. Don't get me wrong I am fine with 4 of my level attacking me, but the amount of 80 lvl players, that are chasing me only to kill me is just absurd. I would love to play on PVE realm only, we just want to have fun in dungeons and 1-2 pugs. This realm rly need option like /pvp off or something like this.
As a new player on this realm, I would NEVER play it if the dude didnt ask me.

  15. I can't remember the last time I actually leveled in STV.

If you're leveling there, then you're asking for outdoor PvP. Complaining that you're getting ganked in STV is like complaining that you got robbed while passing through the gypsy hood in the middle of the night. It's not right, yeah, but what did you expect, seriously?

At levels 25-30 you should just just go to Thousand Needles or Ashenvale. You can stay in Thousand Needles all the way till 35lvl. Then you can go to either Desolace or Dustwallow Marsh, both of which are close to you. You can also go to Arathi Highlands for an easy breezy 30-40 with very little same-faction competition and outdoor PvP. At 40lvl you can go to Feralas, where you not only get some really beefy XP, but you also get nice items. At 45-50lvl you can go to Hinterlands or Felwood. You can stretch it and reach 58 in those two zones alone, or you can go to Wintersprings after Felwood to hit a clean 60. Then you just move to Outland.

That's it. No STV, no Tanaris, no XP deprivation, no wasting time travelling to remote zones. If you're not doing this due to lack of will or knowledge, then the fault is all yours.
