i actually really wanna see some QOL changes for example aoe loot will be awesome,duel spec will be nice.improved graphics with option to turn them off and go on old models if thats what you want.also PVP ranking system need change.from what i have seen current people who had farm rank 13 on private servers also ask for pvp change because all you need is 2 more friend that can share account with you and queue for bgs to get rank 13.you dont even need to win all you need is to queue for bgs.its broken and half the players who have it do not deserve it.maybe something like ranked BG that give you alternative method of obtaining gear can be good i see no reason for not having it actually.
they also need to rework a bit the UI.lets be honest 99% of players will use UI addons why the hell wont blizzard just improve the UI so people dont have to get addons for it.
that been said my concern with QOL change is where will they draw the line?something small like aoe loot can lead to something bigged such as server hopping or RDF or god know what.something like that can destroy the classic feeling of the game.

to the people who said "blizzard target private server players who currently play vanilla" i dont agree with that at all.they target overall WOW population.there is plenty of times on current expansions where there is literally nothing to do for months.having the option to play vanilla will give players something to do until next retail patch/expansion release.

Nobody knows what will system of pvp be,they might completely rework it.

i mean lets be real pvp in vanilla was broken and you fix broken stuff. No one wants to be one shot by a rogue while farming so adding flying and resillience would just fix the broken stuff they have in vanilla

Will giggle when you all"hardocore" vanilla phreaks get owned by graphic change/ui change/macros implementation/real id/rework of honor system/stacks change/pet/mount change/scaling system/cc on dr/and list goes on.

So much for 15 year old game being implemented by new eginee (which if anyone knows is impossible since you canot rework such old graphic unless you recreate pixes from new engine/not using current engine of legion sdk).

But you can hope all you want,doubt blizzard will cater to 50k people instead 1 milion (which is rough estime how many will return to classic).

Played vanilla private server 4 months ago and i had no problems with this stuff mentioned above.
I believe i'am not alone by far since one well-known vanilla server had 12k population 24/7 even under worse conditions (30yards limited view distance).

Sadly you are right here, with 90% chance blizzard is gonna chop vanilla into some abomination with QoL and other custom changes just to feed casuals.

following your logic they need to make classic servers to run only on winXP and on old cpu/gpu so you get full vanilla experience with all the fps problems and all.
also how about you log on this 12k pop server find someone who have high rank gear and ask him what he think about the honor system?because i have done it and almost all of this people want a chance.knowing the state of retail past few years 90% of players in BGs when blizzard release classic servers will be bots.if that your "full vanilla exp" you are asking for?you may be OK with it but lots other people are not.
