Earlier today one of our guild members was permanently banned for advertising our guild name and website on Global.
This global advertisement was done using the Auto Flood add-on. The person who was banned was banned incorrectly.
This issue needs to be fixed as soon as possible. The automatic banning system Warmane is using is faulty and, in this situation, did not function as intended.
There are a lot of people who advertise gold scamming websites who get banned correctly, and we appreciate that. But we would also appreciate Warmane taking more immediate action when one of their loyal, long-term players gets incorrectly banned by the banning system.
A ban appeal was created in regards to this issue over 6 hours ago, we have not yet received a response. If we continue to be ignored, we will seek social media assistance.
Warmane; please utilize your considerable resources at your disposal and review the information behind this unfair ban.
We would appreciate a hasty response, we have raids to get to tonight.

Meanwhile, 24/7 every day and obviously afk/addon advert.
It's just disappointing our guild leader got banned for something EVERY other guild does, and it's taking days to resolve. A long time supporter of the server, donor, and player. No one is asking for compensation for time loss, mistakes happen. But imagine how frustrating it is to get your main banned and not be able to lead raids, watching other guilds spam the same thing, and warmane support being not quick to solve the issue.
Why post if you have nothing of value to add? Go spam on 4chan or something.

Clearly he was advertising some sort of website so clearly not a mistake and he got banned. He also could've gotten some other ban and is trying to save face who knows.

Don't assume the person got banned for what they say they got banned for. Sometimes people don't realize or remember that something else they did could have warranted the ban and assume they know what the ban is for. Other times, people will lie about what they got banned for when saying so publicly, so that they either don't get jumped on by people, or they gain the sympathy of people like yourself even if they are undeserving of it.
In this particular case, it's very possible they got banned by the anti-goldseller-spam AI. Mistakes happen. That's what the ban appeals are for. Either way, you don't need to white knight them and try to shame Warmane.
This is why such matters are handled privately, not publicly.
Be patient and wait for a response. Ban appeals are last priority for support.
