Technical half my gold is lost

My god. Im in chok- the 5/1 around 01,30 when server was down I lost half my gold. Just got around 730 gold. Then the server was down and Im down to 365 gold. How is that even possible? I was saving to get a flying mount and so close. Now I lost the will to play anymore. If I have to start from almost scrap. Can you help me?

With all of this in mind, we have concluded that all realms will receive a gold squish of 50% on January 4, 2018 giving players, once again, our usual warning and plenty of time to use up their reserves before we commence the adjustment of the economy.

Well thank you wery much. I did not get any warning, and I was so close to have the gold to learn to fly. I dont do dungeons, so it takes realy long time for me to make that kind of gold. This is a kick in the face for a new time player, and I can herby tell you that I will not be using your game site anymore. It's not THAT important for having fun. However...if you can se my dilemma and help me with the flying witch I was so close to. (by the way. Dont you think that if I knew what you was going to do, that I would have been questing like mad to get the flying??? ) I will concider to keep using your site. otherwise I'm done. Hope to hear a positive responce from your side.

The announcement was made as early as October 2017 and it was in the Latest News section here on the forum and on the main page. There was plenty of time for people to see the date the gold squish would happen on and prepare for it.

I'm new to this server and today im lost half of my gold.
I honestly earned it by completing assignments and using the profession.
I play for only a few hours, in view of my employment and I play only for the pleasure that I get from going through assignments, dungeons and pumping my trades.
Do you know how hard it is to collect gold yourself, without buying it? So I'll tell you - it's not easy!
I understand that these measures are being taken to improve the game economy, but how to be the one who collects gold by his own labor?
This is absolutely not fair! Not on one server, I have not seen such measures to improve the economy!
I've been saving gold for so long to buy an improved opportunity for flying, and now that I've completed more than 50% of my assignments in Outland, you say We'll take half the gold!
This is absolutely not fair! Improving the economy, do you think that in this way will save more interest in the game and the server as a whole? I do not think so. You grieved me, and yet I sincerely believed that I had found a good server ...

well first of all not eveybody played here since october.
Secondly like you said, this warning was several months ago. Seriously several ****ing months ago. Thats is not even news anymore. Ridiculous.
Was it to hard to remind it right before squish or didn't even bother about it?
I'll not push this any further cause pointing out mistakes here on forums can cause a ban very easy...

I quit this server because of the gold squish. I had only been playing a week and lost 7000 gold which I earner from professions. I gave my remaining gold away and uninstalled. I will not be recommending this server to anyone. Thank god I didn't donate real money to them, which I planned to do for some gear.

stop crying - your gold is now worth the double. Just watch out for the tricksters who try to fool you by taking advantage. Simply buy for half the usual prize only. The marked will adapt fast when no one buys for old prizes anymore. Or go farming and try if someone still pays you old prizes if you want to give the trickster RP a try. Might be no one buys your crap tho.

boo hoo baby. you could of avoided losing gold if you payed any attention at all. it was announced on the website back in october. and there were announcements in game. servers better off without you and any others who can't seem to read.
