Greetings Warmane Staff and community,
I was just playing World of Warcaft on Icecrown, where I saw person who yelled around Durator. He was asking for people to comment on his youtube channel and to award them with 1k gold. He send me this text 'LAST#6987 the best pvp booster, i recommend him!'' and told me to post this in our party x3 times, and told me to wait for youtube channel. I did this and instantly got banned on both my account. Reason of ban says 'Your IP Address has been terminated due to Advertising'. I never did such a thing and that was never my plan. I am playing on Warmane (ex molten) since 2k11. I don't know what happened but I can't even writte support ticket to check my ban. Please help me, do something. I have x14 characters on my accounts and I would never risk something like my characters that are soulbound to me because of some kind of advertising. This guy tricked me, but I don't know what kind of trick is this. Please, please send me some feedback and tell me that you can help me. You are my last hope.

I did it already, but I really do not understand what kind of trick this was. Never saw something like this. I posted that message x3 times on party chat and 'booom' instant IP BAN.

It's automated system that bans players for advertising. It was most likely the battle tag in the message that triggered it and you got banned because you sent the message 3 times. And technically you are advertising his services by spamming that message. So it seems like he did it all intentionally to get you banned.

just got banned ! all 4 of the accounts in my house

i didn't do what the op described. I was just waiting for my BG ques to pop up and i disconnected !

He invited me in party, and then he told me to writte that message. I post it x3 times on party chat, and got disconnect on both accounts, with message saying that my accounts are terminated. I am shocked.

Maybe it's because of something that they did? Could have been something similar.

All our accounts are on the same network (i.p address) i have spoken with both my sons and none of them have used chat at all today.
And they haven't ever used chat for anything that would break the rules.
we've played here for a very long time now , and know the rules
we have invested lots of money over the years, and would never risk our accounts

In any case, send an email to [email protected]. They should be able to fix it but it can take a few days.

It's really weird. Maybe they were with him in party as well, or something. All they had to do was to writte that code and get instant ban. I hope we get our accounts back.

Umm... isn't what you did advertising though? You spammed (x3) his message for PvP boosting?
How can you appeal a ban you rightfully got?

That was posted on party chat, nowhere else. So how can that be considered advertising? Party chats are private after all?! And he made me do that, it's nothing I wanted to advertise.

He made you do it? Interesting. How exactly did he "make you" do anything?
Also whether you advertise in general, trade, party, or whisper - advertising is advertising. He told you to do it so he wouldn't get banned. Or maybe he's just a really really good troll.
