Last night I had a DC, since then I have been having a hard time logging in....the loading screen gets stuck at 100% or it says "Retrieving character list" ... When i do manage to log in which has been 3 or 4 times ..... I have HUGE lag , nothing loads and players running on the spot....
anyone has a idea what is going on ?!?!?

Last time I had something similar happen to me was when the Twitch Client accidently updated WoTLK addons to BFA, perhaps double check that/disable your addons? Otherwise you could try using unstuck in the services tab under your account and deleting your cache folder.

I have tried to unstuck on the website and deleted cache and it didnt work.. I will try the addons! Thank you!

Open up CMD and type "ping logon.warmane.com", what does your latency report? As it sounds like a network issue to me.

My network is absolutely fine. Been playing other games online and browsing, and it is 100%.

It's surely a network problem. Just because you can play other games fine doesn't mean it's not.

What was the result of the ping in ms? your network can still be fine yet still struggle to resolve certain hosts, if the result of the ping was high then i would've suggested maybe changing your dns settings if your network speed is fine. Other than that I'm not sure what the issue would be, other than trying a fresh install of your client.

It showed 250MS average which is normal from where I am playing from (south africa)

It was literally working 100% yesterday and for a long long time before that, all of a sudden this happened... It could be the server

Yeah unfotunately so, you could try testing if a vpn improves your connection otherwise playing that far away connection stability can never really be guaranteed.

Hey dude, I am also from South Africa and am experiencing the same problem. I think it started on Monday the 25th? Since then my in-game ping hits ridiculous heights of like 27 000. I've tried disabling my firewall, running as admin, redownloading the game, restoring the previous versions. Nothing has helped. please let me know if you find a solution!

its in game lag and it will probley last about 3 months, it happend in Germany a while ago with my friends there, im also from south africa.

I have been playing for the last 6 months no problem like this?
Edit: also the other mystery is that i have my mate who we only play when we play together and his lag/game is still working fine.???Edited: November 27, 2019

Still the same situation... I can not log in. My ping was 15000! Its flipping ridiculous.... really.... I guess we have to wait for it to sort itself out, I have tried everything. And the whole 3 months lag things sounds like bull****. Give it a few days and it should be fine.
EDIT: I have been playing this game absolutely fine up until about 3 days ago.
