Ever wondered about weird and off-putting situations where enemy raids a city and players just go about their day with disabled PvP? Doesn't make sense, breaks immersion and makes everyone facepalm about the absurdity of the situation.
I propose to disable faction owned zones as safe zones for PvP. So opposite faction can attack anyone in cities like Orgrimmar and Stormwind.
This would give birth to true world PvP and guilds dedicated to attack and defend cities. This would expose players to PvP and everyone will have to do their part to keep enemy at bay. No more whining about ganking because you expect to die if you are outnumbered and everyone would understand that its up to them to raise a raid and retaliate. Actual WAR in WARcraft and all that good stuff.
*grabs popcorn and a drink* *sits back to wait for the **** storm this is going to create*
Lmao true true , though it's not the worst idea ever suggested. If you balance this out a bit it could be really fun. (slowly stacking debuff when in a zone that otherwise has "pvp unflagging" or whatever.)
It is damn fun and makes very solid community. I played on realm like that long time ago and it was amazing. This concept has something that touches everyone personally and after getting shanked few times people start to think and band together, people were actually part of the faction instead of this blue name ghost. Everyone was involved and even level 40 dudes were sitting on rooftops and throwing heals down, doing what they can instead of whining about it. Defencive raids were formed within a minutes. Fond memories instead of this passive state and endless whining when someone gets ganked as if that's not the norm.
Whats immersion breaking is a full pve raid of plebs being able to backdoor a citys leader while the guards and city leaders do absolutely no damage and there are not many guards to fight. People would be more willing to defend otherwise if the whole affair wasnt over in 5 minutes.
Or despawn Dalaran almost entirely, so that its only use are quest NPCs. Necessary vendors can be put elsewhere.
Well since we are going in the direction... Screw the capital cities since they will only cause lag to servers. Put faction leaders at the top of some mountains and AH vendors somewhere you don't have any mailboxes.
As someone who dont like pvp and really dont like Wpvp NO. Its already annoying enough that ppl attack me out of the blue when im just questing but dont force pvp on me more than it already is. If hordes attack SW imma just walk away and say not my problem
If you want Wpvp go to tanaris and hold gadgetzan hostage

You have never tasted it. I can give you a hint that will greatly improve your PvP experience. Every day initiate(very important that YOU initiate) 5 PvP attacks. After a week you will be able to deal with almost anyone who attacks you and you will start to laugh at and even despise these "afk" dudes who just walk around like lambs to slaughter mumbling about PvE servers under their nose. And now you will have a taste for PvP - my idea will seem amazing to you. Nowhere should and is safe - and that makes world more alive than ever.
