1. got banned, few questions

So i got banned about 2 months ago. Fine.

I asked how to turn on 2FA in another post (probably under a different forum name, i can't remember which account I used since I multibox and got multiple accounts in this same case), and was told to email [email protected]. I did this, and have not received a reply for about 2 months now, which is very annoying. Is there anything else I can do?

I also submitted a ban appeal. 1st and 2nd time, they timed out - neither got any attention for a month (i submitted each 30 days appart, as the ban appeal section states to do). So, i submitted a 3rd ban appeal few days ago, which apparently got checked 12 hours or so ago to just get closed. Absolutely no reply, and no unban. I don't understand. Do i just submit another ban appeal in 30 days? can i submit another one now?

    Thanks.

Without knowing more about your question, I suppose you were ignored because "how to turn on 2FA" is something to be asked on the forums, not in private to a staff member.

So you've submitted a ban appeal and it's been ignored/denied three times. Seems you've got your answer.

  3. I can't see how someone would tell you to contact Support, unless you were asking how to turn it off while not having access to your email or phone. I also couldn't find any thread where the email is mentioned that fits what you're saying, so I'm not sure.

That also makes me skeptical about two emails being just ignored for a total of two months without reply - especially when ban appeals are made with tickets, everyone banned has access to that option in Support tickets. Only people who get banned for using a VPN and/or landing on a banned IP has to ever get told to use emails (because in those cases the account itself isn't banned, just the IP they used, so they don't get the ticket option). Why didn't you use Support like everyone else? Are you by any chance banned from using Support?

But I did ask on forums. Here, i managed to dig out my post which I am the OP in, just from another account: http://forum.warmane.com/showthread....31#post3064131 . I wasn't asking in a private message to a staff member.

Maybe a misunderstanding between me and Thorbjorn? I don't know. See the above link for what I mean.

I sent out an email to [email protected], and yeah, I definitely have not received any reply for about 2 months now. I'm sure that I sent it from a certain email address, since I can see the email under my sent emails.

I did use support, that's how I submitted the two tickets (well, three with the last one which got quickly closed) I mentioned in my original post. I do not have an IP ban. I was banned indefinitely for exploting, with the message: "Your account has been terminated due to exploiting" under 'my account'.
I don't have access to the security tab, so cannot enable 2FA. I didn't think it was appropriate to ask about 2FA in a ban appeal.

Ah you want you turn it on while banned and were blocked. Thorbjorn probably assumed Support could help you with that, but it just seems to be a normal block to access certain account features while banned that would go away when the ban was over. I don't know if your email or a reply got lost, but Smyth is dilligent about answering, even if to say nothing would be done, the only exceptions being when it's something he can't do and it gets forwarded to someone else like Edifice.

Either way, you had only mentioned emails, so I assumed you hadn't used tickets. But your account was terminated. That means it was permanently banned, it's a dead account, so there's no point in getting authentication turned on in the first place. I'm not sure about what you describe regarding the ban appeals, but I can't recall a single case where an account termination was reversed.

Ok, fair, that makes sense. Email probably got lost then.

With the ban appeals: I appealed like 2-3 days ago once again, and the appeal got closed by Smyth about a day ago without a comment.
Also, I would argue that there is a point in turning on authentication, since if you were to get into my account, you could see my email address, which is a privacy concern.

And about no account termination which was reversed: surely there is still a possibility, since I can still appeal the ban? otherwise, what's the point of allowing me to even access ban appeals?
Related to this, say I don't get unbanned for long enough such that my toons fit the criteria to be deleted by the clean-up you run every year or so. Would they actually get deleted?

Finally, is there a way to FULLY delete my account, if it is dead as you described anyway?

The ban appeal system doesn't distinguish motives or durations of bans, so you being able to appeal doesn't mean anything. You're allowed to because the system sees you as banned. I suppose there's "always a chance," it's just doubtful it would happen. Account terminations only happen with the most serious offenses, those that break our most essential rules. By essence, they are the rules there's no saying you're sorry and won't do it again that would help you recover that account.

Probably, although I don't see how that matters. As per above, the chance of appealing every 30 days changing anything is more than likely none if you managed to get your account closed.

That's something Support would have to answer, I'm not aware of it since Forum Moderators don't deal with anything related to accounts.

  8. Welp. ok then.

Either way, thanks for the info!

  9. I sent another email on the 10th of September, and still have not received a reply.
Is my email blacklisted or something?

Is it about the 2FA? Your account is terminated, what does it matter if it still has 2FA on? I don't think you'll ever use that account ever again.
If it's about account deletion, how did you title it, word it? Did you include evidence of account ownership?

If someone were to break into my account, they would be able to see my email. This is a security concern.

I'm sending them an email from the banned account. That should be enough evidence for them.
