WotLK I cannot log in

Merry Xmas to all!

I download WOTLK but i cannot access the game using the account details (same username and password as I used for loggin on to this site).
Its my first time playing in this server aswell. I also opened the game as mentioned, using the Wow.exe, but it doesnt seem to work. The file name i downloaded is World of Warcraft 3.3.5a (no install).

Has this happened to anyone else? Do I need to do something else before I can start playing?

Can you be more specific with the issue you are having? Describe what issue you are having because "cannot access the game" isn't really covering it.

im having the same problem. downloaded the 3.3.5 a client and when i go to log it says i need a patch. it tries to download it but it wont connect to server. tried the repair tool same thing pls help

Use your Warmane account name, not your e-mail address to log in. If that doesn't work do these steps:

Follow these steps:
1) Restart your PC
2) close your Torrent client and move your WoW folder away from your Torrent's download destination
3) now right click on WoW folder> Properties> remove "read-only"

and then log in with account name instead of e-mail.
