1. Arena Solo Q system

Okay so there is something bugged about the arena que system on Blackrock realm and probably on Warmane as well.

Yesterday I was doing some solo q games but electricity went down 2 times in a matter of minutes while i was in que for solo q but i didnt get a que popped.

So since my PC shut down while world of warcraft was open, shouldnt the server automatically remove you from the queue of arena, battleground or RDF???

Here is my arena match history:

    http://armory.warmane.com/character/.../match-history

When I started to que I had 2143 rating when I logged back on I had 2119 rating that is -24 rating, that is 2 lost games -12 rating each game.

That was game number: 8401067 to 8416396

Then after 2 games, electricity again went down and at that time i had 2124 rating when i logged back on i had 2100 rating, that is -24 rating again for the second time.

That was game number: 8416733 to 8418357

See how the rating is changed?

So basically i lost -48 rating for nothing because electricity went down??

To be more funnier i didnt get a que popped, i was just in que to wait for arena game to pop...

My question is, why in cases like electricity going off while you are in que for arena it doesnt remove you from que but you get -24 rating just like happened to me?

It ruined my chance to get 2200 rating, someone care to elaborate?

  2. try this:
Log in game with a character > close the game with alt f4 > try to relog immediately

you will notice that you will not be able because your are still considered "online".

That said, when a player miss the call to enter in soloq or leave a soloq prematurely, he lose double rating than normal.

Btw, when you logged back, didn't you had a deseter ? (or maybe you came back 15 min later, so deserter expired meanwhile)

  3. It seems to me that you didn't get it...

I logged on in game for the first time yesterday around 6:00 PM and i qued for 3s solo que and i was waiting, while i was waiting electricity went down but I didnt get the call to enter in soloq, you know the windows pop how to say it...

    The timer was still on.

So, shouldnt the server automatically remove you from the queue of arena, battleground or RDF???

Why in cases like my case, the server DOESN'T REMOVE YOU from arena, bg or rdf que???

No, when i logged back i didnt have deserter.

    Which is a bug.

It takes the server some time to disconnect you when your electricity goes down, say, 1-2 minutes or so. Until then you don't get removed from the queue.

So basically that is the reason why i lost -24 rating per each game for two games?

Since electricity went down 2 times?

It is a bug or what?

  7. I don't know the soloq system. If you lose rating for missing the queue on games, then I don't see how it is a bug, since you lost the queue on a game.

  9. As I said, it takes some time (1-2 minutes or so) for the server to realise you have disconnected. During this time you are still in queue.

Bro, i didnt MISS ANY QUEUE ON ANY GAME, I WAS WAITING FOR A QUE TO POP, IT DIDNT ACTUALLY POP after the electricity went down.

    I didn't lose anything.

The server should AUTOMATICALLY remove you from queue and from everywhere else in cases like electricity going down and stuff like that...

  11. It isn't a bug, it's just how connections work. When you properly close the game, your client lets the server know you are leaving, so your character is immediately removed from the work. If your connection is interrupted no such heads up is sent to the server, so, coupled with the facts that the server doesn't constantly query your client to make sure it's still there and that there's some leeway on that as well so people don't get disconnected at the first packet loss, it can take some time until the server acknowledges your connection is gone. Until that happens, the character is treated as still online.

Yes, you missed the queue, due to not properly leaving the game. As per above, unfortunately our server isn't omniscient to know your electricity grid is bad.

Yes, but if I try to log in the server should disconnect my ghost connection and let me log in immediately.

Not really. It starts the proper logging out process when you do that. Plenty of games and services out there block you from reconnecting for a minute or two when something like that happens.
