i have question.Wuts best pvp class in wotlk.
I saw people play too many DK , palas , warrs and priests, but why noone playng warlock as pvp i saw them beating everything literally ddnt see them loosing in any dueling.So are they good or its just very skilled pvp player that rly knows how to play him?
People ussualy say play pala as pvp but in pve experience 90% of ret palas are noobs (no insult for pala players).

Most popular ladder is 2s, and the meta is 5/5 WF and rest all PVE gear. Wars just do insane amount of damage so they dominate in 2s, thats why so many are playing them. I agree 90% of ret paladin are trash. People think the way you play ret is pop wings and 1 shot people, when in reality they are more of a support role then pure damage.
Warlocks are really good, especially with shaman, but they are so much harder then Wars and way more annoying to play compare to warrior where you can just tunnel vision on 1 target and so insane amount of dmg.

It was a bit hyperbolic, but if you read the forum you will read lots of posts claiming ret "is just a support class", "has lots of hard counters", "you can't expect top dps", etc. whilst in world pvp/duels/bgs you will see rets pwning everybody.
The fact that it is the best class means lots of people choose to play it, which means most of them do not know how to play the class correctly. There is nothing you can do against a good ret.

When it's about PvP in general I'd say DK or ret paly.
But every class is viable to some extent.

There is nothing you can do vs good ret is the most ******ed statement i have hear. Open the ladder and look how many rets exist there, its lireally like 2 players only, that have been playing ret for 7 years already. And they dont even play dps Ret but the 1h spell power weapon build.
People are bad with it not because its overplayed, but because its not tunnel vission pure DPS class like War/Dk. Rets dont have slow, no mobility, no healing reduction debuffs, no interrupts, no gap closers. What they have is heals and buffs and it takes a bit of understanding wtf is happening in the game and to your partners to be able to do well. If you cant remove stuns fast from your team mates, if you cant manage your mana and heal, if you cant use your buffs there is no point to play ret, just go War/DK and PEWPEW people.

Most noobs will tell you its the shadowmourne classes Ret, DK and War but really its Warr and Hunter because their healing reduction skills simply make them overperform over the other classes in arena. Meanwhile they're both good with armor penetration and best suited for killing holy pallies who are broken as well. Duel wise, many classes can match up well 1v1 with skill and items like bauble of true blood and skeleton key which are good for 1v1s.

Because warlock need skill. As warlock you don't have a good mobility, so in this "burst meta" you are free meat for all shm/pve gear. So you 'll take really heavy damage. That why affli is most play in pvp than destro, due to extra healing, futhermore it's need less control on your pet. Where destro you have to control your pet h24.
