So I haven't logged in on the website account for quite a while. But I've been playing on my account, with no problems. Today I logged in only to see that I have been apparently banned for advertising? What does that exactly mean? Is this some kind of mistake? The IP on which I was supposedly banned isn't even mine, lol. Can someone explain this to me?

Uhm, I don't understand the point of that? I read that post, I know the rules, I just want to know the reason I was banned for. There is no message or anything, can you please provide some context? What exactly have I been advertising? Where was I advertising, here on the forum?
A little more detailed response would be appreciated.
Edit: I am asking because my account is functional. I can play on it. And you didn't respond to the "this isn't even my ip" question. I read about the IP bans as well, but it threw me off since the reason of the ban was "advertising". Guess I'll just write an email, maybe I'll get actual help there.Edited: February 17, 2021

If you didn't log in using a VPN or from a different location and you are sure the IP address has not belonged to you, it means someone else logged on your account and got it banned. If that's the case, change your password and consider enabling 2 factor authentication to make sure if doesn't happen again.
About your ban, you should send an email to [email protected]

I doubt someone else has been using my account, since nothing is missing from it and it works perfect.
