When things are too good they become pretty boring, like my 2 week journey - I didn't get to fight, convince, persuade or lie to get what I want. It was all defined by a binary "yes, within rules" or "no, against rules". All kinds of lesser or bigger dramas are core things, the flavor. Which is somewhat disappeared, everything gets labeled "toxic" and 5 fingers are on "print screen" button at all times, no matter what you do.
That becomes the game, and people play it.
Or maybe "anything that's not against rules is allowed", or "only things that are within the rules are allowed", idk to me something seems off.
I guess i can't really articulate it properly.

Unfortunately I have the same feeling as the op.
I've played since AT, and every single time I had a problem, nobody from the staff was able to solve it, I was being passed away like some Pinball game.
Firstly , when I was scammed of my full geared mage on the Outland TBC realm - they could not do anything about it, it was my fault.
2nd, when I invited a girlfriend of mine to play the game, then she thought she had made some friends in-game who started online bullying on her including revealing personal and sensitive information on global channel and threatening messages in-game. Staff reaction? I made a ticket on the website, they routed me to make a ticket in-game. I made a ticket in-game they told me to make a ticket on the website. Nothing was done. Terrible.
3rd, Went in some RDF as a disc priest, got placed in VH HC, trinket with spell hit drops, I ask the party if I could roll on the trinket as I would need for SP. Nobody answers, I take that as a wordless " yes, whatever " , I proceed to need, then I am getting threatening insults from some druid telling me he recorded everything and I will get banned. Just like that, I am being set up with a ticket and 3-4 days later, here I am getting banned 5 days for Ninja Looting in Dungeons. I made an appeal on the website, the staff answered 6 days later , after the Ban period has passed. Their reply: a copy pasted link with server rules from forum.
+Many more copy-pasted useless answers for in-game tickets.
The GMs activity is to only ban people for Ninja Looting and that's pretty much it - this may be my experience only, some of you may have been luckier. Whenever you need them, the answers you will get will be after a week and be prepared for some generic answer + peppered with some arrogance .
Like some other guy said, the community is carrying these servers, it would be a good time the staff would chime in.
We can officially close this topic i found the staff.

Yikes! Master detective here, not even Batman can rival you.
TLDR - there is NO toxic/harass problems on server. At all. Sorry, but all you forum speaking and other silent persons complain about is personal issues having NOTHING to do with server population, it's diversity and world-wide playerbase.
If you are getting offended and get heart attack from "yo mama" jokes or skin colour mention - leave internet and start working on secret facility.
If you are getting tailed/hunted down by opposite faction - call the banners, start Rambo style war or leave. Staff is not your bodyguard.
If you are getting another million plus one reason to come on forum and start such complaining threads, cryout for "justice" in global etc. - grow up. It's a game and you are not only person who plays it. Either socialise with others or get lost, cuz nobody wants daily posts of drama and offends. Only thing you achieve by it is drawing even bigger neon-glowing target over your head.
Seriously, from side it looks like some people are here not to play game, but play forum and spread SJW (Social Justice Warriors) bulls***t.
Are you sure you are not triggered bye making angry post of people making angry posts while getting triggerd?(Ya i get where you are coming from)

Sorry if it seemed like i was directing this whole message to you, only first part is yours with honest praising of how you've mocked them.
No, i was generalising all recent pathetic posts with statements that can not survive any logical reasoning and arguements.
Neither was I going to say it in soft way to spare their feelings.
And I don't know how bad should I be to get "triggered" over forum complains))
I'm supporting staff, i'm supporting venerable forum dreadnaughts like Thor, Angry, Ozie etc, heck i even have nothing against Mercy despite having directly opposite PoVs on lots of situations and arguing over some of them.
But yes, i'm against this complain-folks)
I know it was just first part ^^
All chill don't worry if you think people are boiling for sake of boiling just sit back and see what kind of soup turns out at end ^^ maybe there's there's something you can actually eat at end :p.
1. Falling for scams isn't something GM's reverts. They can punish the person doing it, but that's about it. Being scammed in any game rarely gets you back your items/characters/whatnot. I don't know if you saying "it's my fault" means you acknowledging it is your fault, or more of a jab at staff not doing what you expected.
2. You're not gonna like what I'm about to say, but you know it needs to be said. Your GF willingly shared personal and sensitive info, or how else the bullies got hold of that info? Perhaps she learned about the experience, teaching what to share and to whom, if at all, over the internet. I get your point on staff's reaction. I've seen few of those loops occurring, and wish that it could be avoided. There's something to improve right there.
3. You did wrong. In-game ninja policy states clearly "In RDF needing on items for Off-Spec (unless everyone in party is explictly fine with this)." Not getting response isn't explicit confirmation allowing you to NEED for OS. Ban appeals are lowest priority, so it takes time to get responses. RDF ninjas usually tend to sit out their bans, 6 days response isn't bad if you got banned for 30+ days. So yeah, careful with what you need in RDF.
"Game Masters, or GMs, are Blizzard employees who oversee World of Warcraft and watch over a server to solve problems, disputes, and sometimes punish people disobeying the Terms of Use policy Blizzard set forth."
Solving problems via reading tickets.
Solving Disputes (ninjas) via reading tickets.
Punishing ToS/ToU violations via reading tickets, and with help of Sentinel AntiCheat.
There are a lot of tickets out there..
Edited: May 28, 2021 Reason: Added "Violations" after ToS/ToU
1. The scam could have been reverted if the staff would have stepped in. They decided not to. Lame. Every scam on retail was being reverted and all the items were mailed back to you.
2. Are you trying to blame her ? Because it surely looks like it. It was very disturbing, he was spamming her with in-game mails, from various characters and so on, including IRL life threats. All this while we felt hopeless about the situation. It's not about educating her - like you uninspiredly twisted my post - it's about staff's inactions leading to more toxicity, racism etc.
3. Do I really need a signed approval of all the party members in order to need on a RDF item for off-spec ? What is this some bureaucratic institution or some private WoW server ? What if I don't have gear for OS? Should I never play Shadow over Discipline because of the fear of getting banned randomly ?! How am I supposed to gear my OS ? Lol.
This Ninja in Dungeons is taken toooooo damn far and it's not necessary at all. I specifically asked in party chat before needing, nobody answered, the timer for rolls was passing. What would you have done ? Maybe the douche druid was quiet intentionally so he could use the reporting as a tool to threaten me with a ban ? Isn't his type of passive-agressive behaviour somehow toxic ? And was perpetuated by the staff's action to answer his ticket with a 5 day ban on my account.
Not to mention the ban was on my account and I was being locked out 1 week of raid resets and arena flushes on 4 of 4 of WoTLK realms. All of this for needing on an item in a RDF, after explicitly asking for the party's approval in the chat. Lame, lame, lame.
They don't return stolen items here. They punish the offender and the victim is supposed to learn how to not be a victim the next time that situation comes up. It's not like they're holding a gun to your head at the computer; you can be aware of the situation and just say no.
A better question is why does anyone need to explain that your secondary spec has a lower priority than someone else's primary? We also shouldn't have to explain that by definition no answer is not an answer. How are they supposed to gear their MS when you're taking the gear for your OS?
1. Staff isn't there to babysit us players. Caution is advised everywhere over the internet, how did you even got scammed out of a fully geared character?
2. No, I don't blame her. I'm telling you shouldn't share too much information over the internet. Give the information to wrong person and that happens. Bullies are to be blamed for what they do and should be sanctioned/punished accordingly. I don't condone their actions. Actions have consequences, it's not always negative actions and negative consequences. Positive actions can have negative consequences. Bullies don't even need information, they just need a target, target that they can get reaction from. If they have information, it's only adding fuel for the fire.
3. Yes. This is WoW private server with massive (too large) population, toxic players are among them. Thought you would've figured it out already. So to punish said toxic players, Warmane has introduced ninja (and other) rules as countermeasures. You went and broke a rule, and now complain about ban and ban appeal times. Though your ban was justified. Do you want the rules to be enforced, or not, or does it depend on how they benefit you?
How to gear OS? Well do quests, buy gear from vendors/AH, or even craft. Then queue to RDF in your OS gear, spec and role. Or do like many others, don't gear your OS until your MS is ICC ready and raiding. Do ToC10/25, Ony10/25/FoS, PoS & HoR premades, where MS change is allowed, and roll for OS gear.
Such a shame ban inconvenienced your playtime for five days. Did you learn anything from it?
1. You are derailing the point because you have no counter argument. It's like saying that the Justice system irl is only for rich people, if you are poor you won't be allowed to have justice.
2. A lot of blablabla, internet and consequences, blablabla. She is a good human, she is naive, she was subject to extreme toxicism, and this is the most extreme case I have seen in my 15 years of playing this game. W H E R E was the staff ?! Probably busy banning people for needing on blues in rdf.
3. To be on par with the scaling toxicism, Warmane has to open up recruiting, break their bubble and get more people involved in the project. Ninja Looting in Dungeons is again unnecessary and doesn't address toxic behaviour in any way. I would agree Ninja in Raids is needed, but getting banned over a blue in some random dg, is far over the limit imo.
What was there to learn ? Not to try gear up my OS while playing my favourite spec ? Hahahaha, so ****ing lame.
1. Pretty much, lmao.
2. Everyone is responsible for volunteering their own personal information ON PUBLIC places. If she was forced(idk how would that be possible) to give up information, you need to go to proper authority. What do you want staff to do, what's the perfect help you imagined they should have given?
3. I ask this every time, but - What "toxic" means? Give one concrete example from your experience maybe.
And, while I agree about ninja rules, you don't even realize that they HELP you, judging from your words. You would be in dregs with all the others like you, constantly whining about how everything is toxic and stuff, because that's where you belong. You should be glad, you get to play with decent players instead of being ignored or instantly kicked by them. Then you'd be like "eww my gawd, i get kicked in every RDF, njeerrr everyone so toxieec"
"What was there to learn ?"
/facepalm
