1. FPS Issue, new hardware

    Hi everyone!

I hope someone got a fix for me im already at my end
Ive recently got new PC Hardware and everything is running smooth expect while rading.
Especially fights like the Valkyrs in TOC25 are horrible, when there are multiple orbs i have like 0.5 - 3 FPS...
Other than that ICC is also a lagfest

    My hardware:
    Ryzen 9 5900X
    32GB Ram
    RTX 3080

I know its an old game and isnt optimized to run on such hardware but there has to be a fix.
Ive tried BIOS updates, reformatted windows, redownloaded the game, tried to disable Hyperthreading and 3/4 of my Cores, tried to play with super low/Medium/Ultra High settings, ive tried different values in the CFG with SET processAffinityMask "x"
    everything didnt help...

i run the game better with my old I7 2600k and gtx 960...
i know my Hardware isnt broken since other Games and benchmarks tell me everything is perfect

  2. You use recount, am I right? Try Skada.

  3. Also try some client optimizations, ill name some you can set them via ingame chat as /console name value

/console gxApi "d3d9ex" (this makes wotlk use the cata d3d)
/console gxTextureCacheSize "value" (set this to 90%ish of your gpu capacity, if its a 4GB card set 3800-4000)
    /console M2Faster 3 (value goes from 0-3, 0 is disabled)
/console timingMethod 2 (value goes from 0-2, 0 is disabled)
/console coresDetected value (number of cores your cpu has)
/console processAffinityMask value (2^n-1 where n is the number of cores. for a quad core use 15, for 6 cores use 65)

    no im using skada

alright thank you very much i will try those one by one and report back
so i guess for my 5900x which is a 12 Core cpu the value would be 4095
or do i have to count in hyperthreading also if so than the value would be 16777215
also do you know what each of those commands does?

  6. Disabling PCIE GEN 4 didnt help too

  7. Check your addons. Disable one by one and see if it improves.
