I have an old account from 2015 that I can't remember the password for. And as I'm typing this, I realized that all of the characters got deleted when I didn't transfer them to Icecrown lol. But either way, the server won't let me log into my main account now. I keep getting the "Could not login at this time" error message. Is there a failed login attempt mechanism with the servers that limits how many failed logins you can do? And does it then put a timer of when you can try to login again? i.e. try again in 30mins.

Yes, if you enter your password incorrectly multiple times, you won't be able to log in for a few minutes. Not sure how long exactly it takes.
