WotLK All chars are gone?

I have been watching some youtube videos and I saw somewhere "Warmane" where i had "A-HA!" moment.

It has been since 2015 I have played, just downloaded client and logged in to my surprise everything is gone (eventhough I did spend money on some of my chars).

There is nothing in my armory, nothing on account... Only lvl 4 charr on random server I played ages ago...

Hopefully support or one of you members could help me with some info (is everything wiped, do i need to send a ticket or something).

I always find it interesting when people ask for something back after not giving a damn about it for 7 years.
You can send an e-mail to [email protected] and ask them what happened with your characters but it's likely you won't get anything back so don't get your hopes up.

There are things in life that lead you in different direction and you just cant play and you forget about game/s in general.

But to give you an answer "I buy a tool that i use once and put it in my garrage and dont use it for next 7 years and it just sits in a box, comes the day I need it and then I cant use it because tool is mad that i didnt use it for 7years?"

You leave a tool in the shed for 7 years and don't touch it, it's going to rust and dry-rot. Lol.

Well if there is "only lvl 4 char" then there should be your other charcters aswell , could be that you shared your account details to someone and they got deleted or something cause its kinda weird that the lvl 4 is stil there and your 80s arent...
Like that guy above said its allways interesting to see how people ask for something after so long , for me its more interesting how so many people share their account info and later come after years confused how their items or stuff or characters are gone , thats whats more interesting to me. Ofcourse not saying thats the case here.

Also your comparison with the "mad tool" is really not on point...I mean you can say then also you donate some clothes to the red cross and you come and ask for your clothes back after 6-7 years hehe , bad comparison again am i right? Ofc its bad , same like yours.

You donated to suport the server , you never bought anything.

Here 8 years so far , so many accounts / characters , stuff i sometimes forget what & where i have it...worst thing that happened in those years was maybe couple of items missing and later on poping in mail and thats all.

But to conclude , if you have details and you didnt share account etc the suport will probably help , worst case scenario atleast you find out what happened to your chars..but its really weird the lvl 4 is there and your other chars aint.

I don't believe a level 4 character is there for many reasons.
1. They merged the servers in 2016. If you didn't merge then your characters got deleted
2. They do a yearly inactivity cleanup and delete low level characters under level 30

So he's obviously lying. Its more like he leveled a new character to level 4 then said "fck them im just going to go complain on the forums"

account was not shared with anyone and I've checked my email which had no warnings of unauthorized login.

Hopefully I get at least answer what happened to chars, if I recall corectly there were 5-6 lvl 80's with 2 of them BiS geared.

Yeah, it's a useless endeavor. If you haven't played in 5+ years, your characters are gone. And I agree with Ironbible. You can't have a level 4 character that you haven't played for more than a year due to the YEARLY removal of unused characters (it saves the servers memory and such). Pretty sure you're going to submit a ticket and waste a GM's time anyway. But yeah...Start over.

in case of premium accounts, low lvl characters get just flagged for a rename:

Premium accounts are exempt from removals.

https://www.warmane.com/account -> support -> create ticket -> general enquiry (to find out what has happened to your characters)

If nothing can be done, you may get "coins refund" for the ones you have spent on them

Hmm well you probably allrdy checked but check also account history for anything suspicious , but yea if you checked email and if you had 2fa enabled both ingame & web there is no way someone got in the account without any warnings to you are i mean maybe yea if he/she also had acces to your 2fa but unlikely.
But if ingame protection was not enabled your account ingme could easily be accesed without any email warning to you and your chars deleted.
But then again the person should have the login info to do so...

Story is weird to me just because the lvl 4 being there , your best bet is to contact the support and write them in details what , how , when happened and they can help you best..in the end in my opinion like mentioned allready above you will probably get refund of coins for items that you donated and thats all.
My guess is someone loged your account and did what he did , thats the most likely scenario.

well, they deleted my 19 twinks and forced all my level 80s for renames and I wasn't even inactive for over a year. So I guess they just pick and choose.
