1. When did you play last time?
2. On Which realm?
3. Did you look for your character just on website or even in-game by logging with a client?
If no characters on website -> it means they are flagged for a rename so you need to log with client to set new names
4. Is your account premium?
5. In case you were playing on "Frostmourne" realm, go here to transfer your characters to icecrown realm

I last played 6 months ago, on icecrown realm. I’ve looked at both the website and the client, I’m not a premium member. Is there any way to bring back my characters.

what level were your characters?
Btw I recommend you to check again here:

Select "Frostmourne - S1" as realm
(maybe you were playing on Frostmourne realm. In this case you need to transfer your characters to icecrown realm)
That said, if you are 100% sure you were playing on Icecrown realm and now there have 0 characters:
1. Maybe you were playing on a different account
2. Someone have logged and deleted your characters. Try to contact [email protected] to find out what has happened to your characters)

I played actively for 3 months and then I stopped playing, I didn't play for about 6 months and I logged in on the site and I noticed that I don't have any characters, I checked all the realms and there are no characters on any of them. And I have no other accounts.

Few options:
1. Characters were deleted by somebody who had access (unbeknownst to you or not) to your account.
2. Characters were sold by somebody who had access (unbeknownst to you or not) to your account.
3. Something very mysterious happened, but 99.9% chance this didn't happen.
4. Wrong account by any chance?
1. Check if https://www.warmane.com/account/services offers you any characters to restore.
2. Check if https://www.warmane.com/account/trade has record of sold characters. Select realm -> Character Trade - Sell -> Character's I'm trading / Characters I've traded. If your characters are on the list(s), cancel any ongoing trade(s). If the character(s) are sold, check https://www.warmane.com/account/history and open GIFTING - tab. You'll see who the coins were sent.
