Hello, I'd want to ask for a help.
I have troubles with addons. Especially with vuh-do. It resets every time i reload UI. So every /reload, every log-off - it settings resets to defaults. Same client, copied to flash drive and running on another pc - everything is ok. So problem is not in the vuh-do. Another problem - when I disable any addon on character selection screen and log-in - it still enabled. So i disable - log in into world, log-off, check addons - it checked again. Any addon, even if it's only one (tried with only SellJunk).
I downloaded fresh client (tried 3 different ones). Reinstalled windows, tried disabling read-only and run as admin, run from external drive, from another internal drive, compatibility with windows 7 mode - nothing works. I'm out of ideas and asking for a help hand.

Follow these steps:
1) Restart your PC
2) close your Torrent client and move your WoW folder away from your Torrent's download destination
3) now right click on WoW folder> Properties> remove "read-only"

Many people have this problem, maybe a windows update ?
Windows reinstaled, do a windows repair, change game client, nothing work, read only still tagged.

Does "read-only" option go back to enabled afterward?
Also, did you this issue randomly happened?
Like, you have never had this problem but now suddenly occurs?

Option goes to black square checked as it should be. It's not a blach tick (when read-only enabled) if you ask about it.
It occurred with wotlk client I dont have such an issue with retail client.

The read only return after we close the window.

copy paste your current "WoW folder" on your desktop.
then remove the "read-only" from this new folder and try to play with this one

Read only works only if it's ticked. Black square does NOT mean it's read-only.
As I said before - interface settings and some add-ons settings is saving with no trouble. It's not a read-only issue

So any other solution ? Untag read only doesn't work on your pc.

1. Is your WoW running otherwise fine without an issue? Just the few addons going to their default settings?
2. Did you try running WoW from flash drive on your own PC, as you did on other PC?

1) It's running fine. Can't switch off any addon on char select screen also - this setting does not saves
2) I tried: system ssd, another internal hdd, usb flash, external ssd - all the same

Me to, the game run well since now, no problem for addons or macros, now i can't play any new character.
Try to delete cache, folder wtf and interface
New client
Many things on cmd like the command attrib
New os install
Idk some peoples can solve rhis problem but some no.
