Hello, I cannot log into the server. Specifically, the screen gets stuck on 'connecting' for around 1 minute, then fails to connect. I am trying to play on the frostmourne server, but this applies to the log-in screen in general regardless of which particular server I want to connect to, and I cannot get past the log-in screen.
I have tried several different things and yet I cannot get past this issue, so I'm hoping someone here might be able to provide a solution which I have not yet heard of.
Here's a list of everything I've tried so far, based off searches which have discussed the same issue. None of these things have worked:
-Running as administrator
-Using the correct log-in info (username, not email)
-Deleting Cache and WTFfolder, checking realmlist
-Fresh download/install from this website
-Disabling firewall
-Setting up appropriate firewall permissions
-Uninstalling other versions of WoW from the PC so that this is the only one remaining
-DNSflushing/restarting, and using DNS addresses which are manually supplied via google
-Ensuring that the game's folder(s) is installed to the right location and is not set to 'read-only'
My internet runs properly outside of this game, so I am at a loss as to what the issue could be. Other people I personally know with the same ISP from the same general location (same city) are able to connect to the server without any issues. I've even tried installing with their exact settings and their copy of files and that hasn't worked either. Anyone have any other suggestions? Would greatly appreciate anything as I just want to be able to connect and play at this point, but nothing typical seems to have worked so far...
Follow these steps:
1) Restart your PC
2) close your Torrent client and move your WoW folder away from your Torrent's download destination
3) now right click on WoW folder> Properties> remove "read-only"
As stated in my post, I have already tried that.
"-Ensuring that the game's folder(s) is installed to the right location and is not set to 'read-only'"

copy your WoW folder on the desktop.
Delete your old folder and play with this new one created on the desktop
