What is old should not be touched. i hate it when they attempt to modify our past. the only thing they had to do was make sure it worked on recent technology. that's it.
But if that was all that they did, they couldn't have the cash grab they wanted or the micro-transactions that they needed to keep the company alive after all their countless screw ups over the last 10 years.
Before I continue, I'd like to say that I don't play in Classic, and thus my knowledge of the environment there is somewhat limited. However, my guild moved there, and they share with me their experiences from time to time. I have an officer rogue, who's trying to level up in Utgarde Keep. He said that he got denied 20+ times because he didn't have 1) spell cleave and 2) good gear (but he had brutal weapons, btw).
Now, I know what some people are going to say. Yes, it's a "community" thing and just like pug raids in warmane we have the opportunity to create our own groups and to determine the rules in them. However, I just want to point out how ridiculous the gear requirements are for an unbuffed normal dungeon that can be solo'd by a mage. Imagine being required to do a TBC raid just so you have the privilege of clearing Utgarde Keep with 4 other people on normal mode.

I do like this comment very much:
"The wotlk experience so far. ?Oh wait you don?t have T5 gear? For this 69 Lvl Dungeon; Sorry pal? get out and quest??
and they say Warmane has inflated GS requirements lol.
As i told in one of previous threads: "classic" lost every old school elements it had together with unnecessary changes that Blizz tweaked into it. Ppl in this version of game aim only for min-maxing every possible part if game.
Real "old" guys never bothered with retail, they've settled in private servers long time ago and formed community. And due to content being froze on last patch, there is no rush for pixel rewards, no discrimination during leveling (you have your own pace).
Ikr? At this point I consider the whole situation a satire. I can't even imagine what the Classic community would come up for Naxx when it releases.
the modern WoW client runs like crap because they fired all their good developers and replaced them with *****s who can only write spagetti code. The optimization is a joke. For that reason alone, I won't be playing the classic one.
I predict Warmane is gonna get a massive increase in population once all the players get tired of Classic and also paying for it.
