It is. You both need to have premium accounts and trade the character trough TRADE here on site.

eee by donating, I think it's 10 eur minimum. But you ill need more coins than that to transfer the character.

Whatever minimum system sets from base 30 +80% value of items on character.
Naked character 30 coins, best in slot character probably something like 400 coins.

That is my question though. Any way for him to GIVE me the character mate? Not sell it to me for 400 coins.

No because then people would abuse gifting for outside sales.

would it be possible for admins/mods to grant us this? We are not doing outside sales or anything, we just want to play together and have fun.

It would not be possible.
Server can't make "exceptions" because it will create case where they've stepped away from rules that they uphold. In such situation everyone will be messaging them and saying "you did X for him, so why can't you make Y for me".
Also, playing together and having fun doesn't require max level, top gear character. Level together, have fun and challenges on road to 80, it is actually way funnier than heroic and raid grind at top .
