1. Still worth to join?

    Hello guys!

We are think of joining the server with my wife as real tbc lovers however the population seems a bit low. Whats the current situation of the PvP scene?(Rbgs, Arenas) And what are your expectations for TBC?

Thanks for the answers and suggestions :)!

  2. hello. TBC is not out yet. Not even prepatch. This is still vanilla wow that will progress to TBC mostlikely after the summer

  3. Right now we are at last phase of vanilla before TBC prepatch and that is why population is a bit low. So many are just waiting for TBC launch. There is some bg's popping, but not much right now. Things will really speed up with prepatch.
There has been alot proplems with afking in battlegrounds, even when afkers will get small bans if reported. I'm afraid this proplem will continue or get worse when it's no longer needed to stand near av bridge/fights, but hopefully i'm wrong.

All things considered, i'd say this is perfect moment to level up a char and prepare for TBC. Server population will increase again and it will be fun :D

  4. Defronevan's response covers it all. Just wanna add that I am expecting a huge boom of the server population at TBC launch, so much so that I think Onyxia will surpass Icecrown for a time.

Last weekend Onyxia's population was over 5k in the EU prime time and it feels like the huge majority of people playing on Onyxia right now at any given time are just people preparing for TBC.

My Guild is an example of that. We are 100% focused on TBC. If I log on now, I will see maybe 5 people online, however we have 30+ recruits that will all be online for the TBC launch and will be playing a **** ton after that. Some people have even taken holiday from work in order to play the entire first week of TBC non-stop!

So yeah, to sum it up - The TBC Hype is REAL!!!

  5. Thanks guys for the informations!

We've started, and have a blast even with leveling and hyped to the heaven for tbc launch. : )

  6. I've been here since launch day. Launch was huge, server was packed. Population kinda died down between AQ and Naxx releases. Late game Vanilla just hasn't got much else to do than raid logging, making alts and BGs (as someone said, PVP system had some mistakes being made on this server).

There's a notable spike in population now, mostly people waiting for more information to come out and preparing for the launch.

TBC launch will be huge and I think will keep more of the population involved simply because of how much more content there is available (Arenas, PVP seasons especially).

Have fun leveling and let me know if you need anything on Alliance side!

A lot of players left due to loot rules.

Some people left because they got bored.

Some people left due to bug abusing in the beginning , and people selling thousands of golds shortly after the release.

Some people are logging in for raids only.

I personally left due to ban (ban was revoked) I played as pala healer, and needed on Necromancer Leggings against 2 mages (we had no spriest or lock) and pala healers had no other option but to need on stam/int gear. I got reported for ninja and i got banned. I was unbanned 4 hours later but it was already too late . I didnt want to continue playing .

Since then,i havent logged in single time.

World felt empty and leveling zones were dead even tho we had 12.000 players online. I had 4 characters, leveled in Dustwallow marsh, tanaris, stv, Hillsbrad Foothills , all big pvp zones (completed all quests in all of those zones) had 60 kills altogether. I got killed 8 times in total.

  8. Expecting a lot of players will quit due to not being able level, quest, do certain attunes in the world, etc... because griefers and cuz its a pvp server.

Without addressing how utterly pathetic and spiteful it is to leave a server over a ban mistake that was lifted after 4 hours, everything else is complete bollocks and well-poisoning.

Thousands of gold in circulation from a bug shortly after release? Which bug? Since its shortly after server release and nobody is 60 yet, how does someone bug thousands of gold?

Onyxia never had 12,000 players online lol. At most was 6k MAX and that was back in January (AV meta was going strong 24/7). And everyone who plays Warmane does it for the end game, not for wpvp in leveling zones, so that's a bad example to show population.

What "loot rules" did people leave over? Sounds made up.
I'm really not sure what "bug abusing" you're referring to. Also sounds made up.
Some people are logging in for raids only, as with every other WoW server that has ever existed.
And I have to point out what super weird behavior it is to "leave" a server yet still look at the forums and actually respond to threads.
As for "world felt empty," my experience has been much different from yours.

Thanks mate, we went horde tho : (

  12. Not worth joining until they say some information on when and how the release is gonna be. Warmane has been too silent on it.
there are almost no pugs going on that arent AQ/ZG on alliance. global is filled with people selling boosts or buffs. you log on too do nothing. most people already level'd too 60 for tbc and are just waiting. but we will be waiting for a long time.

Forgive people for not wanting to pug BWL and beyond lol. Sounds like a nightmare.

  14. Sad for people like me that wanted to level up just doing dungeons. im stucked at lvl 47, RDF takes more than 1 hour to form a group being a tank.

  15. Don't join the server unless you have friends/find a guild. The pugging scene is atrocious and overall the average player on this server is bad, you'll have hard time doing any raid even with ppl overgearing it by a couple of phases.

And you'll lose 1-2 hrs everytime before forming the group, reaching the raid, wiping at first boss and then see people leaving blaming the others while doing Scarlet Monastery DPS level ;)
