1. how? you most likely have 2 weeks (? to be announced) head start to prepare in advance compared to blackrock players since the server wont be open with tbc release immediately. once blackrock players join you will already have decent bg and heroic gear compared to full green blackrock players
Please stop asking how, and read through the previous ten pages where people explained what, how and why. We get it that you and three other people in here are super hyped about playing arenas only, but we would like to keep our community active on Onyxia and not force them to separate towards Blackrock only so they can stay competitive in PvP.

  2. Give this a chance. I know people think of Blackrock as "unfair advantage" automatically, but the aim is for the progression in this to be at around the same pace as Onyxia players, taking effort and time as well, just in a more PvP-focused manner. There is a plan to make that happen, but it can be adjusted and will if needed. We will be listening to feedback and open to change course if Blackrock characters get an edge at some point, as long as criticism is factual and presented in a mature way, and suggestions are realistic and reasonable.

Instead of all the doomsaying, save that energy to remind us this is still Onyxia and about Onyxia if and when something is going wrong in this attempt to make PvP even more active.

  3. The boys from blackrock want easy farming of honor and arena points from onyxia players without PVP equipment
What's the point of wasting time on pvp onyxia if you're up against better dressed players who have devoted all their time to pvp?
Let the pure PVP fans sit in their paddling pool and fight with the same PVP fans

Shouldn't a chance be given to Onyxia at least for a first season to see if help regarding PvP activity is even required? I mean basing a decision on PvP activity on badly designed rank system and when for 2 phases it's more efficient to raid for gear than rank up is just poor...

  5. Just Cap some high end PVE items on Blackrock and EZPZ

Could the team give us feedback on the points we have stated? And add more details?

Because right now (at least to me) it feels like its gonna happen and lets see. Worst thing is - ofc Blackrock is gonna have higher activity in the end, because all of us which wanted to make PvP alts wont do it on Onyxia anymore, but on Blackrock instead.

If you are about to proceed with this, could you at least give us a separate ladder for Onyxia so Onyxia alts have any incentive to be made?

I have a very simple and straightforward question for you.

What if it turns out that the majority of Onyxia players don't want anything to do with Blackrock, what then? Will you still go through with it?

Maybe, but the fact remains that currently PvP has very little activity. Who knows, if Onyxia shows it can have plentiful and stable PvP activity on its own, maybe players could try asking for this cross-server to be severed.

This is happening. What there is to be done is fine tune it along the way.

Playing against OP players will quickly discourage you from playing pvp on Onyxia.
I don’t want to be food for people who don’t do anything other than pvp

Well it's always easier to add than to remove.

One last thing, which was already mentioned.
How about an ingame poll regarding, this similar to ZG, with some restriction like played time so this can not be abused...
    Thank you.

    Best regards!

That would be on one of the people directly involved with crafting the system to do.

Go read my first post again.

It would be pointless. We are fully aware the knee-jerk reaction would be to vote "no," even by people who won't ever touch PvP being asked to vote by friends. People haven't even experienced how it will work, so it would be a vote based on bias and "territorialism." Your best bet is what I said: show that Onyxia never needed the extra activity in the game.

Dont you think its a bit unfair towards Onyxia to make such a decision based on "current PvP activity"? Im pretty sure our activity was great in the first phases, dropping down later only because there is nothing to gain from it. No arena ladder/rewards, and PvP rewards weaker than obtainable PvE gear (and less time investment). Im pretty sure our activity is gonna be huge in TBC without any external addition, as a lot of PvP gear is good for PvE too, we get Arenas and respective rewards, and not to mention BGs being fun and goal oriented, not like the doomed AV bridge which made more than 20 people quit in my guild.

*edit: I already have people talking now about quitting over this, while im pretty sure any new player who is gonna join Blackrock would join no matter if there is cross realm or not, because they obviously dont want the PvE chores.

I'm aware of that, and that's all I'll say on the matter.

  14. IMO there's one simple solution to this drama where everyone is getting what they want: disable high-end PvE items to be used in arenas for both sides.
Problem solved, both servers can farm their PvP gear at the same pace without any side gaining an edge over the other in terms of PvE (be it via luck or via easier grind).

How can we show it, if you won't even see first season without introducing instant 70 realm?

Anyway what is a counter argument to splitting ladders?

    Best regards!
