Well no, actually it is the other way around as was seen over the last years, TBC arena players do not want to and cannot sustain an active instant pvp server, they need and want fresh servers and a realm pool with a lot of casual / pve players on top. Every instant arena only server for TBC in recent times has been a massive failure. Probably not even Blackrock could manage to stay alive on its own for TBC, at least that would be my guess based on recent TBC releases or how the pvp community behaved if you exclude the one exception which was hard carried by Chinese arena players.
Which is why there is zero point in insulting or flaming pve / casual players as you depend on them to make Pvp a success in this expansion.
XD
Well said.
Guys, you had a great vanilla Onyxia experience. This TBC experience is meant to be different, in multiple ways. WotLK will also be different. If you want a PvP scene that doesn't die out, adding in blackrock is the way to do that.
Having PvE gear on blackrock will make ***LITERALLY 0 DIFFERENCE*** in your ability to climb rating. Especially at the end of the season where pushing matters. As stated before, blackrock players will not obtain these PvE pieces until weeks into the season since we need to wait until we go through enough flushes to get the PvP gear first.
PvE gear makes way less of a difference than you're implying it will. You're just mad because you have to spend the time to raid on a weekly basis, and we can just focus on arena. If you want that same setup, go roll on blackrock. If you actually enjoy PvE'ing, stay on Onyxia. The impact of PvE gear being available for blackrock players is literally negligible, and you would know that if you actually play/cared about the game mode enough to have seen this in the past.
Provided this happens, is there any possibility of onyxia characters teaming up for arenas with blackrock ones? e.g. I have a char on onyxia and want to play with my friend, but he only has one on blackrock
Your question was directly answered on previous pages, you posted in here after not reading the thread, and now you're fuming? Yikes buddy.
Also, it's not "Provided this happens". It's confirmed happening. As stated several times by mods in this thread.
So again, read.
no you can not group or play with players from blackrock if you are on onxyia only q into them doing arenas.
i think the solo arena Q will be for blackrock only as well. just a guess.
"he" did not answer your question because he wants to distract you
Given you can already be matched with and against players from all Wotlk servers including Blackrock, Icecrown, Lordaeron no matter where you queue from and they all have a solo queue NPC spawned I do not see any reason to believe it would be different for TBC Blackrock and Onyxia.
Of course crossrealm party play besides Solo queue also does not work on either Wotlk server.
Though I still believe solo queue should not even be implemented for TBC as it is one of the worst game modes possible for arena in Wow.

Its the dead end last phase of vanilla, of course the server pop has dwindled. you never played onyxia back in January-May with <1 minute BG queues.
this entire ****ing thread is bad faith arguments in favor of Blackrock.
Anyway, we going into TBC, it is the era of arena, BG times are over.
you can not play with or group with blackrock players for arena only play agsint them/ q into them
the mods have said that more then once.. thats not a good thing.
my point for solo q.. blackrock players will have it onxyia players.. i would say no.
people still run 2v2 in wrath right?and that entire bracket was scrapped what 15 +years ago by blizz MLG + other esports and titles were never allowed again after s5..for 2v2. solo q is the least of the issues when it comes to arena.
Now with the official TBC date announced, does anyone know when exactly Blackrock will open after Onyxia's release? 2 weeks?
Hopefully 1 week.
