I'm just making fun of it at this point.
It's a disconnect in logic. This is something that has always happened in regard to world bosses which is why people believe that's how it is. Blizzard's stance on it though was that PvP griefing cross faction was ok, but same faction griefing is a disruption of gameplay. That makes sense because you can't attack your own faction you're stuck.
In Classic you had the issue of people taunting bosses out of combat or taunting a dragon's breath or tail onto a raid or gathering up mobs in an area and dropping them on a raid. Those players got banned by Blizzard. So it's important that we established this. Warmane doesn't believe that's a disruption of gameplay. Those players will not get banned here. I was making fun of it, but now that this is established it might actually become a problem now who knows. Oh well.
Also side note I'd like to leave a recommendation to Warmane. I think a lot of us would like to experience fighting these bosses at some point after this phase is over and people move on.
Would you consider making the loot BoP so we don't have guilds camping these for gold? In the original game it was made BoE in patch 2.4 so it should be that way anyways.
If possible i would like to see where did anyone get banned in blizzard for griefing/doing what u stated on world bosses , cuz i've never experienced any of what u have said earlier.
On ur 2nd topic https://www.warmane.com/bugtracker/report/125529
Who really cares? Handful of items that aren't really going to make or break any guild clearing this post nerf content that will probably be put in the shop at the start of next phase anyway.
If we see it up we will try to kill it, maybe take a fly by to see. Outside of that it's not worth waking everyone up for.

That's the very first policy about it from the original game. They've continued to uphold that standard although honestly nowadays Blizzard is slow to act and in those situations usually it's a warning and the behavior stops.
Bruh ,u've send a post that was made before u were born , how is that related to the recent Blizzard content release ?
It isn't related to Classic, neither is Onyxia.
While I don't know if it will change anything, I'll bring that up with the GMs.
Rule or no rule, since players from a lot of these guilds are reading this, can we come to some agreement?
If you want to feud with top guilds over it or whatever then fine, but if some random casual guild stumbles on it and can form a group can we be respectful of people? If we're on the same faction let's let people have their shot if they get the chance.
So i guess i/we can all make opposite faction characters and continue doing the same leading to nothing ? Just keep it as it is and whoever manages to kill it gets it!
Sure, go create Alliance characters, level them up and gear them so they don't get killed on sight before they get even close to it, and then get involved in actual PvP. Sounds like an awesome idea.
If you haven't already, record a video showing the same-faction people jumping in to ruin an attempt and send the link either in a report mentioning it's directed to the Head GM Octanis or to me in a PM and I will forward it to him.
Shouldn't you guys sit down and decide what is allowed and what is not before taking any action?
Palutana was super nice when I asked her about a situation where we got griefed on Kazzak and if we should grief back or not.
Because I'm the first guy who will grief another guild to secure my guild a kill, we did exactly that on the day this thread was started.
Loot is way too good to be passed on without a fight. World bosses were always a PVP area and yes the same fraction sabotages was always the thing.
Alliance on Onyxia is super dead, literally zero competitive guilds which means World Boss fights will be horde vs horde and the only way to win it is to make the other side leave/give up.
I support getting rid of people who are griefing for fun. But people from the guild that is fighting for that boss shouldn't be punished in any way for dying on purpose. Iexperienced the same situation with another guild at the moment I reached out to Palutana but no forum posts were made because I know that's how it should be. Guild vs Guild for the world boss loot.
However, please make an announcement about whatever you decide so we can avoid people getting banned because you guys decided to implement some random rule that was never in the game.
Helo Obnoxious,
Does this mean that it's officially confirmed that "griefing" players from the SAME faction attempting to kill a wboss is forbidden?
It's a bit confusing all this change of mind between different moderators. We had another GM confirming (2 days ago) they will not take any action to people doing this even with video proof.
Could you please confirm/deny this, make a proper announcement/change of Code of Conduct and when these changes would start applying?
Thank you in advance!
Now go back and read the 2005 policy on this that was linked.
That was before someone came up with an official ruling used on retail for the situation. What I relayed in the previous post was the answer I received directly from the Head GM after I shared the link for that official ruling and asked if we would be using that. Action might not be taken retroactively, but I'd strongly suggest not doing same-faction "competition" anymore.
