It shouldn't have much to say about that by design. It's an application data transport layer, not the application.
OK, then how about loosening up the network mask a bit.
Maybe make it a donation thing. How many coins per bit do you guys want?
So steerage class is stuck at 24 bits, meaning close to exact match of address, whereas a donator who purchased 8 bits of relief can rock with a 16 bit mask, which should then mean they never again have to see the captcha OR be challenged when logging into the game.
See? Revenue.
You're welcome.
We're not interested in reducing security for a profit. Allowing someone to bypass authentication from the same subnet would create a security risk for a variety of players.
I'm not sure why people are being asked to solve the captcha on a regular basis. The only times I'm required to solve it is in an incognito window and sometimes after a browser update. My IP rotates through entire blocks and only prompts a new authentication code.
your verification process is EXTREMELY annoying and dumb but nobody is usually mentioning it. Now that this guy has done it i will give it a BIG thumbs up. As a mboxer and someone who hoas 15 accounts it is EXTREMELY annoying to tap stupid busses and motorcycles on that lame checkup test.
I take back my words regarding reCAPTCHA v3, maybe it's a good thing to tap buses each time. Those multi-boxers shouldn't have an easy life. I would rather make it even more annoying so they reconsider their actions and impact on community
It's every time for me, but I don't log in more than once a day.
Pretty much have to do email authentication with the client every day too.
What's wrong with pwords again? Mine has more entropy than a small nebula. Nobody else uses my computer. I'm a grown adult. I should be able to toggle something somewhere that lets me use pword alone to secure my account.
And cookies work btw. Don't tell me they aren't secure, because they are.
I get new IP from my ISP at least every day, so every day I have to enter those annoying codes too. My e-mail now looks like a spam folder with 40+ letters from Warmane in last month.
It's just a game after all - let users decide if they want a 2-factor access check or not.
Their behavior is very strange, it's like they are purposely trying to sabotage themselves in terms of player base.
At some point I was considering making some donation, but then the forced two factor bull**** happened, and I immediately changed my mind. I even stopped playing for quite a long time.
I have a strong lengthy password with lowercase uppercase letters numbers symbols, and yet I'm being forced to use two factor, with no option to turn it off and simply not use it. It is truly hilarious and ridiculous. Even google with their dog**** email gmail is less annoying than this. Incredible stuff.
Just because blizzard is worse value for the money (here we can play for free and it's stable) that doesn't mean things cannot be better Warmane ... stop being so against changes that make sense and increase the quality of the server...
Also, what is up with the fact there doesn't seem to be a desire for civil, respectful discussions here about improving the server?
What is this passive aggressive responses from admins/moderators sometimes? This manner of conduct just make players not even bother to try to come up with suggestions for improvements.
We all want the same thing, we are all in this together, we want the server to be better (it is good already but that doesn't mean it cannot be better), to have more players, for the server to make more money, for everyone to have a good time...
Why are you like this Obnoxious? Fantum7 was not rude in any way, why are you being rude towards him?
Meant to quote this with my previous post.
Do you think behaving like this is good for the server? Do you think it helps with player retention? Do you care at all? If you do not care, why should we? Why should we play here? We have other options. If you don't treat your players with respect, we will leave. Simple. You are not the only game on the planet. We don't have to accept abuse to play a game. We can simply go some place else.
It might sound ridiculous, but I actually just deleted the game right now, just from this stupid reply of yours Obnoxious.
You have minus one player now. Maybe more.
Good luck. I wish you health and happiness.
I was actually always wondering why some people are so insanely toxic here on Warmane in-game, like mind boggling levels of *****ic behavior, but now that I look at the forum and see that even moderators/admins are disrespectful to players sometimes, it makes sense. They just follow your example.
Whatever, I'm out. Chess is a superior game anyway.
