What happens when these resets aren't used for dueling, but for, let's say, raiding? Every boss with all CD's ready, even the long 5min+ ones.
It leaves room for abusing the CD reset. This has been suggested many times, denied all the same.
I doubt it will be abused in raids. It's a lot of work to just reset CDs. Running in and out of a raid dungeon also takes time. Besides, it's unlikely that the next boss is often attacked less than 5 minutes after the previous one.
Plus, they could just do a CD reset only in Durotar and Elwynn forest.
in theory you can already do that by simply entering a skirmish arena game and leave
Use in raids was an example, and do note that when you're doing boss attempts, resetting CD's can be beneficial.
How about normal gameplay scenario? Me and friend are running around with our lvl 80 characters. We run into opposing faction, we kill them with all our CD's used, they used plenty of theirs' too. We duel each other to reset CD's. Be nearby so the enemies will think it's safe to revive. Go kill them again when they're down on HP, have CD's, while we're all fresh and ready to go whenever.
It doesn't take a minute to think of an abuse method. Now imagine what happens when people have time and even wilder imagination.
its not different from letting some1 q into skirmish to reset, just that it would take less effort but the idea is to apply the reset only to specific zones maybe in front of ironforge or whatever and not to every zone of course
Rather they make some cross server duel spot. Recreate the Blackrock duel spot, and then have it cross realm, where you can teleport into with your char.
There's a simple solution to the abuse problem: Make it to where players who opt into the CD reset for duels also get max CD wait time after each duel, regardless of whether a spell was used or not.
how about stop Blackrock from existing since it ruins all servers with insta lvl dudes not playing the game intended to be played like and having endgame disbalance even on this awesome PROGRESS THROUGH EXPANSION realm ... its just a bummber to see TBC Blackrock... why didn't anyone ruin Vanilla @ warmane ? I meen You make 1 realm for each expansion all chars from previous expansion marching foreward into next expansion and keeping old expansions endgame going for hardcore players to have a filled realms ... also merging all private and battle dot net realm characters into existing endgame realms... like classic wotlk database landing into lordareon would make proper WOTLK progression ending into 4ever lasting blizzlike realm for players to have capped servers.
God Bless You All !
