EveryQuest QuestGivers VS Questie: which do you prefer?
EveryQuest QuestGivers is fully supported in patch 3.3.5, but Questie is not. For the latter, a version has been created for 3.3.5 starting from another patch of the game, it works but it's not yet perfect.
Which addon do you prefer between these two and why?
What are the advantages and disadvantages of using one instead of the other and vice versa?
I did get Questie 3.3.5 backport today... it is awesome, many cutomizable options that actually work even on non en_EN client !
I don't know if it will support every quest but so far so good
In Questie I really like the quest tracker fully cutomizable and also icons on map, very good !
Those who backported Questie for patch 3.3.5 did a great job.
Until now, the only problem encountered is that it prevents you to link quests in the party and raid chat by using shift+left click.
I noticed this problem right away, addon with the default settings, without having changed anything.
Apart from this it seems to be a good addon, indeed, Questie together with EveryQuest QuestGivers are the only two that display the quest givers on the minimap and in the global map.
Who else among you prefers Questie to Everyquests or vice versa?

Questie as been exceptionally better than EveryQuest in terms of performance and bugs. Don't get me wrong, Questie still has minor bugs, but they tend to get worked out if you post the issue on its Github page.

I used both addons and noticed something that made me lean towards Questie.
The latter displays more correctly the quests not yet done and does not display those that have already been done.
Questgivers, on the other hand, sometimes also displays those already made and so you have to fiddle with the settings for a while.
Both versions of each author seem to be connected in some way, I looked at the list of fixes and they are identical in type and time.
The only difference is for the correction that concerns the string "Compact - Fix QuestieAnnounce error", 2 months for widswer and 5 months for divial28.
Apart from that, I noticed another positive thing in favor of Questie and it's that during the flight if I open the map to check the ques in the area, the game remains fluid, there are no freezes of 2-3 seconds that instead happens using Questgivers.
I would have expected this behavior more by Questie since the addon exceeds 120mb, instead by Questgivers which is only 3mb.
windwxer Github repo is a fork (copy) of the original Questie repository, with the port changes.
divial28 Github repo is a fork (copy) of windwxer with no changes but 2 versions behind.
windwxer is 2 commits ahead of divial28, being the most up to date:
"Add an option to toogle Questie quest links" from Dec 18th, this might fix the links mentioned earlier.
"Fix QuestieAnnounce error" from Jan 1st
Hey may be I am not too late. For those who as me has issies with the Questie
1. go to https://github.com/widxwer/Questie
2. click green button <code? then choose download .zip
3. unpack zip folder to your AddOn folder
4. Be sure that the name of questie folder is "Questie-335" (without commas) THIS IS IMPORTANT part!!!
5. While ingame, click on Questie mod near the minimap. And wait for 2-3 mintues. Then it will ask about style. Then it will upload all the quests on your map
